I have been to two other Panda Express (in Virginia after dropping family at Dulles, and on my way to palm springs at an airport, both exceeded my expectations and so..) this is the first time we went to this location, from Durham (we don’t have one here). It’s about food and its quality: while it’s not bad in general, I miss the PandaFactor a lot here. Why the noodle is cut into pieces like this, it’s weird, food tasted bland (we tried six dishes and two sides rice/noodles), portions could have add more protein than the residuals. I think they could definitely do better.

Food is really prepared carelessly.. Who puts the broccoli leftovers in beef broccoli. Almost no beef in there all I saw was the huge stem. Same with mushroom chicken it was all mushroom. Of course the noodles had all the veggies and no chow mein. They are pretty consistent in not adding the main ingredients be it any portion you order. Never going back there.
Update : July’25 – tried again to see if anything changed but no. got broccoli beef and came without beef

ordered thru the app and picked up my tasty meal. My order was ready on time and it was hot. I got the Black Pepper Chicken and the new Hot Ones Bourbon Chicken with noodles. The Bourbon wasn’t as hot as I expected it to be – very tasty. Plenty of everything! I was able to skip past the three people waiting in line. I’ll be back.

When it comes to portions they always give me such a small amount. the steam rice was way too dry. Needs more water! Sorry I was grumpy the two ladies in front of us took forever asking questions and there was only one person at the start….so I would of done 4 stars if the employees found a better way to expedite the line for customers who are ready behind Babara Walters and the 20/20 interview of questions.

I was a kid when this Panda Express opened up. I want to say almost 15 years ago. My parents are from Pasadena, CA- so they were excited when Panda was opening so close to our house. It added more options beyond the Olive Gardens/Chili’s that populated Cary/Apex.
Today, I ordered Panda on Uber Eats and it was made so fresh and the portions were so great, it just really made me appreciate this location for its years of service. When I tell people that I love Panda Express, most people are disgusted. I know for a fact that other locations don’t keep up the same level of quality and standards that the Beaver Creek location maintains, so even though I disagree with them, I understand that my location gives me a greater appreciation of the brand.
Just last week we tried going to the Wake Forest Road location and we left because the kitchen was a mess, the drive thru wasnt moving, and the food looked hours old (even though it was busy)
I don’t really write reviews much, but I wanted to write this to commend the owners/managers of this location for their years of consistent, quality service.

As others have said.. wrong order. Ordered orange chicken, noodles + beef and broccoli. I got shrimp, rice and something else. You had better check your order before leaving this Apex Panda.. they get your order wrong I’d say 50% of the time. I’ve been here twice in 6 months and both times I got the wrong order. The store management is unhelpful. They did provide me a free meal the last time I got a wrong order but it’s very frustrating that they keep on messing up. I’m beginning to think they genuinely do not care at this location

I absolutely love coming to this location. I’m from out of town, but I still stop by at least once a month or every other month. The food is always prepared fresh, and the staff is really kind and quick to help. This Panda is definitely worth your time, so come by and support them.

Take my advice form somebody who has accumulated over 15k points alone from eating at Panda Express. This food is actually soo bad. Iv come here twice and both times it was so gross like it’s actually better to starve then eat here. First idk what chow mein they were using but it tasted like instant Raman noodles and was just as dry as them. Orange chicken taste off like it’s just old soggy. Anyways it was bad I won’t be coming back

I wasn’t very happy with my order this time. The portioning felt off—there were fewer noodles than usual, only one piece of broccoli, and a lot more kale and cabbage than expected. The orange chicken was fine, but overall the meal didn’t match the quality of my previous visits. Not sure what happened this time.
Also, the speaker at the drive-thru/front counter is extremely loud. The staff member may want to keep the microphone a little farther away, as it was uncomfortable to listen to.
Thank you, and I hope things improve back to the usual quality.

Jay was incredibly unprofessional, not only did he insult me he also talked way too much the food was horrible It’s probably because he took too long making the food and there was a hair inside my chicken!!! I will never eat her again because of Jay. I do not recommend coming here unless you want to be insulted and talk to way too much
