Fun and funky throw back Hawaiian restaurant and Tiki bar. Reasonably priced and the bartender makes a mean Mai Tai. 1 person found this helpful. S. Stephen …

Visited twice. Once for happy hour and then for dinner.

The drinks here are outstanding and definitely worth giving a try. The fried items we tried – Calamari, Niu Shrimp were a bit oily although very tasty. The lemon garlic aioli with the calamari was great.
We also tried their nachos with poke which was decent too.

The portion sizes are big.

What a great place to have a Mai Tai. Its a nice casual bar, its dark and laidback. They played a great music selection of old school reggie.

Sadly, we were inform the building was sold and by the end of the week, it might be closed. Hopefully the new owners keeps this place open.

Came to Maui with a group of family friends and after a nice day at Napili Bay, we had a hunger for some local style Hawaiian food.

In comes Kitchen 5315 Restaurant & Tiki Bar.

Located in the main building of the Napili Shores Maui by Outrigger, this place isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a fun Tiki bar to hang out with friends and grab drinks later into the night.

If you happen to be free from beach fun early enough, they have a Happy Hour from 3-5 which includes 30% off all of their appetizers $1 off draft beers and the $15 Mai Tai’s are $8 a piece (Great Deal!)

On to the menu, they have a nice selection of foods for a wide range of palates. Simple items for kids, meat and seafood options and they even do a Prime Rib dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. One of my favorites is the 4 Luau menu items, giving you the opportunity to have a plate with 3-5 things for a nice mix/combo plate of their fun stuff.

The food was prepared quickly and with attention to detail. Our server was new, but helpful and very friendly, and made some great suggestions to our group of things to try and their personal favorites.

The Mahi Mahi with macadamia nut crust is very lightly floured and cooked perfectly, very delicious. The Kalua Pork is just like it should be and the Kalbi Beef Short Ribs are Super Tasty! Oh, and did I say Poké, super yummy with just the right spicy kick. (Nice tender tuna)

BTW, do not expect to come here for a Bloody Mary, they don’t have the ingredients. Who cares, we’re in the Tropics, get something fruity and fun! They have a great selection of signature cocktails to satisfy your thirst craving.

If you are in the area, staying in Napili, or getting on to/off of the beach and want a great place to sit down and grab a meal, or swing by the Tiki bar for a nice relaxed and chill vibe for an adult beverage, Kitchen 5315 Restaurant and Tiki Bar is a definite Hit!

Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope have an amazing stay on the island of Maui.

Mahalo and Cheers!

Recommended!!!! Food amazing. We sat next to the garden view. Good place to try different local cuisine. Their menu has options to get 3 or 4 different meats on one plate so you can try things. Garlic shrimp also highly recommended. Nice staff. Chill atmosphere. There is a bar as well but separate from the restaurant.

Whether it intentional or just not updated, this place is kitschy and feels like a Hawaiian supper club of the 60s…and I quite enjoyed it. The food was fine, though nothing to rave about. The traditional items like coconut crusted chicken and the poke were good. It was Saturday, so the dinner special was prime rib. It was not the most flavorful prime rib I have had, but it was ok. The drinks were quite good and I noticed that the bar was quite popular. The service was adequate, but once it got busy in the restaurant, our server rarely checked on us. The best part was the live music with traditional Hawaiian music played. Overall, it was certainly not one of the better restaurants I have visited in Maui, but the prices were comparatively reasonable and the old-school feel was worth the visit.

Definitely coming back to 5313! The food was fabulous and service was top notch. Our host paid special attention to our party and delivered our food very quick. The best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The tacos are amazing and the macadamia Mahi mahi was a real winner. I’m surprised these guys don’t have all 5 stars. Best service and food I had the entire trip.

My wife and I went last year with another couple and we all liked it very much. It was much busier last year as well. We were seated closer to the kitchen and everything seemed nice for everyone. This year it was much different. Sprite and Diet Coke was brought out to the table and all the drinks tasted off somehow. The waiter was fine with comping the drinks and removing them from the table so no big issue there. However, one of the guys at our table ordered fish and chips… And the fries were awful. They weren’t cooked all the way through and very soggy. Not worth eating at all. Several of the meals seemed somewhat warm, but not hot when they came out which was disappointing. I would have rated this place four stars last year, but it definitely was a worse experience this time.

My husband and I made a reservation for this place since it was so close to where we were staying. Upon entering, the girl at the host stand appeared very busy and did her best trying to seat everyone quickly. We were seated after a few minutes and served water quickly. We waited at least 10 minutes before I finally got someone’s attention so we could order. The person who took our order didn’t appear to be our server but said he could take it. The food came out rather quickly and was tasty. I ordered the poke bowl and my husband ordered the loco moco. As we were eating, someone came to our table to deliver drinks that we didn’t order. Shortly after, someone else came to deliver someone else’s meal (which happened after we were already done eating). We were ready to pay and the guy who took our order was nowhere in sight. I caught another server’s attention and said we were ready to pay. He said he would go get the person. After waiting another 10 minutes, another server finally came by and said that our server was busy, but that she could help us.

While the food was good, I wouldn’t come back to this place based on the service alone. They didn’t appear to know what was going on and seemed to be short staffed. We went to dinner at 7:00 PM on a Monday night.

Pros: Polite customer service staff, convenience restrooms, and large portions.
Cons: Only two desserts, and few wine options.

Inside had a weird smell when we walked in but I ignored it and we sat in the dining room. It took quite a while for anyone to greet us at the table and take our drink order. My plan for the night was to get a few drinks a with dinner. Finally got our drink order in and ordered the wings appetizer. They were nice and crunchy but the sauce on top was too salty. We ordered dinner and it was fine, pretty mid. The drinks tasted like juice and like they had no alcohol in them. I had the Hello Friday and my boyfriend had the Mai tai.

Once my drink was gone I was ready to order another one; I saw 3 I wanted to try. Food came and no one stopped by to check on us or take my drink order. I got the Hawaiian chicken plate lunch and my bf had the fish and chips. The fries had a bad oily taste but the fish was crispy and pretty ok. The server finally stopped by the table to check on us once the food was gone so I ordered another drink. This time I got the tiny bubbles, tasted like pure passion fruit syrup.

The only redeeming quality about this place was it was our first sit down meal under $100. Honestly, I would have rather paid more and had a better experience. Avoid this place unless you are ok with extremely mid food and so-so service.
