Solid spot for casual sushi. The food was fresh and consistently prepared—spam musubi was simple and satisfying, the tamago and shrimp nigiri were clean with well-seasoned rice, and the rolls were light and easy to enjoy. Service was quick and efficient, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable for a casual lunch. Not a high-end sushi experience, but reliable quality and a good place to grab a straightforward, no-frills meal.

It’s been a while since coming to this location and to be completely honest, don’t think I’ll return after this visit. If you just want to be left alone not going to need assistance, refills, or have questions, maybe this suits you.

The experience…
Person who greeted us upon walking in was friendly and asked us to wait for just a bit to set up a table. We were seated within 5 minutes. She asked what we would like to drink, ordered 2 waters & 2 hot teas. When she brought those out to us I asked for a side of sauce since I know im unable to order that thru the digital menu. She said she would have it come to our table. Not what happened. Proceeded to order, received 9/10 items in ~10-15min. Also, if going towards closing, they might not have rice. Second order went in ~945 as they did a last call, everything received in about 5-10mins. We asked about the item missing from the original order, after being patient for almost 40 mins. What was sent out to us, completely half made order.

We scanned the QR code at the main entrance to get in line and waited about 40 minutes for a table. Once seated, ordering was quick and easy using the QR code at our table and our phones.
The food arrived on little trains, which was a fun touch. Everything we tried was delicious—especially the garlic salmon, garlic ebi, agedashi tofu, and the spicy mussels.
Service was excellent, with staff frequently checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. We’re already looking forward to eating there again!

One of my favorite Genki Sushi locations to go to. The menu always has something new and it’s always a hit, in this case, the Ramen selection was great. Not to mention they have good Japanese beer on hand.

Second visit to this site. Arrived at about 6 PM on a Saturday; I’m not sure if anyone is ready for what I need to share—this sushi/Asian eatery has run out of rice. I could hardly believe it. We were on vacation, and I usually feel more forgiving and cheerful, but my main concern was that we placed our order via their electronic ordering system (app), and after 30 minutes without our food arriving on the belt, I inquired with a young waitress about the problem. She returned 5 minutes later to inform me that they had no rice left. She was somewhat apologetic, even when I mentioned that my 8-year-old was really hungry and that was all the child was anticipating. Nothing further occurred—no sincere apology or even a complimentary soda for the trouble caused. I am unsure if we will ever come back to this branch. Service was VERY SLOW. It appeared that there were more servers than chefs or cooks in the kitchen. Management must improve staffing management to achieve better balance. The delay is unacceptable. The AC at night is excessively cold and requires some adjustment.

$14 delivery to town, pretty embarrassing that they try to charge the price of a decent sized app for the tiny vegetable scraps they throw together for their tempura order. Could see that being a little bonus to get the leftover tiny slices, but this is not acceptable to present as an appetizer. Thin little soggy slivers of veggies, and the shogun roll was just ok.
Extremely disappointing in the quality of food 🙁

Order directly from the tablet on the table and the food gets delivered by train. Really liked it because with smaller portions you get to try more things. I definitely recommend to take your time and once your done eating order again. Really enjoyed the fried shrimp sushi special roll. Little bit of a wait time because there’s only a limited amount of people allowed inside at once. Definitely a fun experience!

Food is good, however their restroom is a disaster. Urine everywhere smells bad, build up in urinals. Just makes me wonder about the cleanliness in the kitchen, knowing their Restroom for customers are in really bad shape. The experience is definitely ruined based on the cleanliness of this facility.

I recently had a disappointing experience at Waipio location on September 2nd. Despite loving their Mushroom Popper, our family dinner was by poor service. We arrived around 8 pm, and while things started okay, our drink orders were taken promptly. However, when it came time to order food, two of my orders never arrived and we waited. By 9 pm, we were ready to leave, and I had to ring the bell to get the check. I kept ringing the ‘Call’ bell, but the staff were busy cleaning. I get it, they want to finish up early and head home, but I’m trying to pay my bill. I decided to test our waitress’s attention by getting up to leave with my family. To my surprise, one of them noticed and bid us farewell, unaware that we hadn’t paid for our meal yet. I was tempted to walk out, but I love Jesus and prompted me to do the right thing. Fortunately, the girl at the front desk helped us with the bill.

Usually love to eat at Genki’s but today was a little disappointing. It was around 3pm so not a crazy meal time. Service was slow and sushi looked like a bad robot was mass producing it. They may be a little understaffed around holidays but we won’t lose hope. It’s generally a pretty good dining experience
