The Italian ice is hands-down the best around, and the pastries are simply unmatched. Every case is filled with classics done right, and nothing feels trendy or watered down -just generations of consistency and quality. This is a place families return to over and over again, and for good reason. We’ve been coming here for generations and now we’re bringing our kids, which says everything you need to know.
Everyone knows they’re closed on Tuesdays. It’s basically Connecticut trivia at this point, but any other day, you can count on getting the best of the best. No shortcuts, no surprises, just perfection.
Stopping at Libby’s is the perfect ending to grabbing pizza on Wooster Street. Historic street, classic flavors, and a tradition that never disappoints. Some places don’t need hype. They’ve already earned their reputation.
Didn’t get a photo, but I also had a Zeppole, which I would describe as a fried donut cut in half with a lemon custard between the slices. I loved it. Sweet but not too sweet at all.
The cream on the eclair is delicious. So sweet. (Don’t tell my boyfriend I swiped a taste). Next time I will select something with that sweet cream because it was absolutely the sweetest flavor.
The Valentine’s Day cannoli is chocolaty and the cream is a delicious amount of raspberries. Personally not a fan of chocolate, so a little disappointed in myself for pick it, but it was too cute!
It was nice to go indoors in some much needed AC and shade. They do have several tables indoors but not very big so if you have a large group, you may need to sit separately, stand or combine tables.
They offer a wide selection of tasty cannoli’s and since we had gotten several different ones, I can safely suggest these are a good choice! My favorite was the pistachio and the double chocolate.
However, I would not recommend their coffee. First, the person who took my order told me they could not make a latte but essentially an Affigato.. I was slightly confused as a latte is just milk and espresso. Then he sounded annoyed when the barista told him we can make it. It was nearly $7 and it was NOT worth it. The coffee tasted burnt and it wasn’t just me. Several of my friends also got coffee and ended up throwing it out.
While I did not see a sign, they also require that you purchase the stand along cookies per lb so this is not a good option if you’re wanting a small treat.
Overall, this felt like a low-effort version of what should be a delicate dessert. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it.
