Restaurant has a decent bit of bar top seating at an older looking bar. They sat us in a back room at a very nicely presented white table clothed table.
We ordered the hot crab dip for an appetizer. It was delicious. 10/10 recommend. For my entree, I ordered the 8 oz filet medium rare with the brown sugar brussel spouts. I almost always have to season my steak, but this was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
Carley was our server and she was the perfect mix of being attentive while also not being at our table too often.
Next time I am in town, I’ll definitely be stopping by for dinner.
The bacon appetizer was delicious. All 3 slices were cooked perfectly, great balance of fatty and meaty. The 3 ways they were prepared were all delicious, and the fresh horseradish complimented the meat well. Was a sweeter horseradish, but had just enough bite to make interesting.
My wife got the Dupont (served with onion, mushrooms and gruyere cheese) medium well with vision boursin mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked as ordered, and was my wife’s new favorite way to eat steak.
I got the ribeye medium rare but blackened (am order no other restaurant has gotten right any time I’ve ordered it). The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. Inside moist, tender and pink. Outside a very well developed crust, with the right amount of char on the fat cap. The smoked gouda twice baked potato was a perfect compliment to my steak.
Definitely a special occasion kind of place, but we will definitely be back.
I loved the atmosphere and the food was absolutely incredible.
Honestly may have been the best steak I’ve ever had, we had the KC Strip, and the flavor was unreal. The Brussel Sprouts were definitely the best we had ever had and the Mac N Cheese was also incredible. The Crab Dip to start was also delicious.
Can’t speak highly enough about Wilder’s and can’t wait to be back!

The restaurant is dim and set for a romantic setting.
