Came on a random Tuesday night and didn’t make a reservation. Had a party of 6, and it took them a few minutes to figure out where to seat us. Definitely make reservations if you have a larger party.
Restaurant has a decent bit of bar top seating at an older looking bar. They sat us in a back room at a very nicely presented white table clothed table.
We ordered the hot crab dip for an appetizer. It was delicious. 10/10 recommend. For my entree, I ordered the 8 oz filet medium rare with the brown sugar brussel spouts. I almost always have to season my steak, but this was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
Carley was our server and she was the perfect mix of being attentive while also not being at our table too often.
Next time I am in town, I’ll definitely be stopping by for dinner.

Genuinely the best restaurant in Joplin. The quality and service are standard at the price point. Choices cover surf and turf with elk to choose from and a nicely stocked bar. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The staff are responsive and knowledgeable. 5/5 would recommend.

Ate there with my wife for a nice dinner. Portions were good, skill of the kitchen staff is amazing.
The bacon appetizer was delicious. All 3 slices were cooked perfectly, great balance of fatty and meaty. The 3 ways they were prepared were all delicious, and the fresh horseradish complimented the meat well. Was a sweeter horseradish, but had just enough bite to make interesting.
My wife got the Dupont (served with onion, mushrooms and gruyere cheese) medium well with vision boursin mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked as ordered, and was my wife’s new favorite way to eat steak.
I got the ribeye medium rare but blackened (am order no other restaurant has gotten right any time I’ve ordered it). The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. Inside moist, tender and pink. Outside a very well developed crust, with the right amount of char on the fat cap. The smoked gouda twice baked potato was a perfect compliment to my steak.
Definitely a special occasion kind of place, but we will definitely be back.

Our first time to Wilders did not disappoint. We started with Lamb lollipops which were amazing. I had the 12 oz strip and asparagus and my wife had the special of steak with scallop and lump crab with bearnaise sauce. Both entrees were perfect and delicious. We ended with turtle cheesecake and coffee which was exemplary. The atmosphere, amazing food, and Brian the waiter made this experience one that will have us coming back again.

Excellent steak house! Took the girlfriend here in September and it was amazing. Steaks are top notch and sides were very good as well. The bacon app is something for sure to try! Our server was extremely kind and was always checking on us. Is it pricey, yes, but any top steak house is! Elegant and cozy atmosphere made it great for a romantic dinner!

Being from KC we are fortunate to have some pretty incredible steakhouses and I can honestly say I think Wilder’s competes with all of them.
I loved the atmosphere and the food was absolutely incredible.
Honestly may have been the best steak I’ve ever had, we had the KC Strip, and the flavor was unreal. The Brussel Sprouts were definitely the best we had ever had and the Mac N Cheese was also incredible. The Crab Dip to start was also delicious.
Can’t speak highly enough about Wilder’s and can’t wait to be back!

Amazing atmosphere and exceptional service. I would recommend the cooked Brussels as an appetizer. The steak flavor was nice and the Oscar style was a pleasant delight. The salmon was pretty good as well. The quality was top notch and the portions were so big we had to take the left overs home. Wilder’s is perfect for a date night or night on the town.
