The food is good here but the service is not worth it. Usually whoever takes the orders doesn’t speak English so it’s all wrong. Today I was so happy I could understand who was on the phone. I was told 25-30 minute wait. My husband waited almost an hour. AND they forgot my sandwich. It’s a bummer it’s one of the only places in town to grab a quick lunch. Bring food if you’re going to the beach. Or go sit somewhere else

Terrible customer service. Waited 30+ minutes for a basic egg sandwhich. People ordering before us getting their sandwhiches beforehand and to top it all off when finally getting the sandwhiches they forgot the bacon on 3 sandwhiches…. Then tried to tell me I was lying about my wait time and the bacon. The woman who works there should be ashamed herself. This is a great little place for breakfast and lunch. I’ve been there several times. I have always enjoyed my meal and been made to feel welcome. They have great inventive sandwiches for lunch and pretty standard breakfast fare. Prices are decent and portions more than adequate. Good coffee too.

Really awesome small breakfast spot right on the beach that is a great alternative to Alice’s kitchen. Both are stellar spots, but Alice is usually overflows with people on the weekends especially if you’re an early beach goer like us. Sonny’s has a great breakfast menu with some healthier options and good seating. Highly recommend to check it out

I initially ordered from Sonny’s through Grubhub I ordered two burgers. Shortly after I received a call from Grubhub saying my order was cancelled I said “ok that’s fine I’ll make a order somewhere else thank you” Grubhub has always been a pleasant ordering experience. About 20 minutes later I receive a call from one of the owners apologizing as they had run out of burgers I appreciated the call. A few days later I received a call from one of the other owners, Kelly if I’m not mistaken apologizing again about the order and offered to take a percentage off which I wasn’t concerned with receiving a discount I was just appreciative of the call. Tonight we ordered again, got two burgers the timing was great and to my surprise it was one of the owners who personally delivered my meal. I work in a industry that customer service is a huge aspect to my work and I notice it when It’s given which is rare these days let’s be honest. The meal was hot and the fries were crisp and I will be ordering again as it’s great to see a business and its owners that are passionate about their customers and the service they receive and take a great deal of pride in their business.

Super amazing yummy sandwich place! One of the best I’ve discovered so far in the area. The food and bread is always super fresh and tasty, the people there are really understanding and will work with you to make you the perfect sandwich, switch to your favorite bread or whatever you like, and in the raaare case they ever happen to forget a drink or anything with your order, which usually never happens, they will rush it right over real quick, or will hook you up the next time they deliver, if you know (like us) you’ll order again soon (we have a problem/obsession xD). They’re very nice, professional and very prompt on their delivery, and the delivery guy is a sweetie and very respectful!~ We first discovered them on GrubHub but were able to switch to calling them directly to make sure they get more money out of it in the long-run (since I believe GrubHub takes a percentage) because we love supporting our favorites directly if we can! I highly recommend. They have everything from complex crazy sandwiches with fun names, to more simplified yummy ones, like the Vinny – my personal favorite! We’ll be sure to keep ordering again and let all our friends know! <3
For some of these bad reviews, I dunno, either Murphy’s Law must have hit and you went at a time when they were swamped (cuz um hi, they’re amazing, and every restaurant gets overwhelmed some days – it’s a hard business!) or you’re from Atlantic Highlands, probably rich and picky and feel entitled, and are used to spending a ton of money when you go out to a “booshie” restaurant. For us non-rich-snobs at least, this a great perfectly fine sandwich place to me~ 😛 (can you tell I’m not from Jersey? xD No offence, just don’t like rude entitled people, is all~) and as someone with sensitive stomach issues that can only eat certain things, their food MUST be fresh since it doesn’t make me sick at all! Yay! :3

I had a corn beef, egg,& cheese on a everything bagel. I enjoyed it very much, nice portions. Time was under 10 minutes, not bad. I would definitely go back & recamen to friends.
