We proudly opened our Third Ward location in September 2020, and since then, we’ve been serving up exceptional cocktails, house-made beers, and fine craft cuisine! Located just blocks from the Public Market in the heart of the Third Ward, we offer something to delight every guest.
Our Third Ward brewery features a 10-barrel brewhouse, six 10-barrel fermenters, and two 10-barrel lagering tanks. In the cellar, you’ll find cold storage with 16 beer-brite tanks and our sour barrel-aged beer collection—a fascinating highlight on our tours.
Whether you’re here for the drinks, the food, or the experience, our Third Ward location is a must-visit destination!

My mother in law purchased a class at stone creek coffee for my husband and I, she suggested the Market for lunch. We choose this sit down option instead as it was just as close to the coffee shop. From start to finish everything was phenomenal. My husband loved the cocktails he got, some kind of root beer & peach drink. We did cheese curds as an app, OH MY GOSH, they are like a cloud filled with cheese, AMAZING!!!! I knew my husband was going to get a patty melt as soon as I read it, he did and said it was the best he’d ever eaten. I got boneless wings & fries. I tried the wings with their Buffalo, ooohh weeee. So GOOD! We saved cheese curds and wings for our daughter that’s how good it was!!!

We dropped our son off at Marquette after Christmas break and literally stumbeled by looking for somewhere to eat. What a pleasent surprise. We knew nothing about this place in advance, so it was a completely blind stop. Very cool atmosphere, great beer list and super friendly staff. Since I was driving back home, I only had one beer but wanted to make it count. I asked the server which I should get, and he recommended the Swiss Holzfass Lager. I got it and…wow, just a killer beer. I was ready to try many more, but stopped at one. I did however pick up a 4 pack for home and had another as soon as we got back. Outstanding beer. As for the food, it was a notch above any of the best brewpub food I’ve had. I went for the simple burger, because if you can’t make a good burger, the rest of the menu probably disappoints. The burger was done perfictly with fresh ingredients. The fries had a great seasoning on them as well. This place is a treat and we’ll be back again. Top notch beer + good food = happy place.

My husband ate here for a party and ordered me a salad to go. It took them an HOUR to make a salad. (The chicken is cold, so it took them an hour to assemble it.) It was supposed to be the Cheddar Bacon Ranch. Guess what, no bacon. So it took one hour to throw together cold ingredients and they couldn’t even get all the ingredients right.

The service was super friendly, but I experienced a noticeable wait just to pay, despite there only being a few others at the bar. The operation felt a bit disorganized and could benefit from a more efficient and streamlined structure to improve the overall experience.
As for the food and drinks, the Kölsch was solid and definitely worth trying. Unfortunately, the bánh mì didn’t live up to the hype. The meat was dry and tasted like it came from a cheap store-bought pack. I’d give it a 2.5 out of 5. On the bright side, the curry fries were excellent, fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for. I’d rate those a strong 4.5 out of 5.

Explorium Brewpub in Third Ward is the kind of place you want to tell your friends about. The moment you walk in you can tell the focus is on quality — from the beer to the food to the service.
The beer selection is thoughtful and balanced, with well-crafted brews that hit their marks without being over the top. Whether you’re into easy-drinkers or more characterful ales, they cover the bases well.
The food program stands out more than most brewpubs. The menu feels modern but familiar, with solid execution and smart pairings. The soft pretzel is a highlight — perfectly salty and chewy — and the accompanying beer cheese is rich and flavorful without being heavy. It’s one of those items you’ll find yourself ordering every time.
Entrees and shareables are equally good. The wings had great seasoning and sauce balance, and the burgers were juicy with good texture and toppings that felt purposeful instead of gimmicky. Portions are generous without being overwhelming.
Service is friendly and attentive without being pushy, and the vibe in Third Ward is upbeat without feeling noisy. It’s a great spot for a dinner with friends, a casual lunch, or a relaxed night out.
All in all, Explorium Brewpub in Third Ward is doing it right — good beer, smart food, and an atmosphere that invites you to stay a while. Worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Was recommend here by my first uber driver for the curds and beer. Did not miss! They have plenty of options for all.
Surprised they have a gluten reduced primary menu. Enjoyed everything i had to have and everything suggested. Servers/bar tender friendly. Looks like a place that can get busy in a saturday but very low key.
Not a sports bar, but definitely a kill sometime or have a casual chat kind of place.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! They have SO MANY great options, and most menu items cab be made gluten free! I had a fried chicken sandwich and cheese curds! Everything was so good!! The drink selection is also very large, I had a flight of seltzers which were all delicious. The piece of chicken on my sandwich was huge and so tasty! Our server Livi was so kind and knowledgeable about the menu and gluten free options. I will most definitely be back!

We waited 10 minutes to be seated and another 10 minutes to take drink order. The grill cheese was terrible. Thin bacon and tomatoes and cheese on half of the sandwich. We had to find a server to pay the bill. Better service and food at the Wauwatosa location.

The party went smoothly, as planned. Nielli (sp?) was a wonderful bartender. She was efficient and professional as well as sweet and engaging. The food was good, but the sterno heaters did not seem to hold the heat as well as hoped. The atmosphere of the tunnel room was great, albeit a bit difficult to heat evenly (a known factor when we booked). Thank you for another fun family gathering.
