Stopped at Gordon’s Drive-In in Mazomanie, Wisconsin, because I wanted to try it out. It’s kind of a dive restaurant, but in a good way. I was greeted by someone super friendly behind the counter—not overly sweet, just really genuine and down to earth, and I really liked that.
I ordered the chicken sandwich, and it was actually really good—I was surprised! I asked if I could get some water, and they said sure and brought it right over. Everyone there was nice and friendly. People actually talk to you, which is kind of amazing. It felt like a really nice little town.
I sat down inside and it was clean. Just an old-school diner, but it was good.

Discovered this gem after stopping in on the way back from Spring Green and was throughly impressed by the food.
Between the three of us, we ordered a cheese burger, 4pc fried chicken, grilled cheese, large fries, large onion rings, soda, and 2 bottles waters which came out to about $40 after tip. The value alone was worth it, and this was genuinely some of best diner/comfort food I’ve had within all of the Madison area. We’ll definitely stop by more often and very glad we decided to give it a chance!
P.S. Their “broasted” chicken means fried.

Like a trip through time. Lower prices, nicer people, and cute classic ambience. Have been here a couple times and will definitely return. Specials are good value and good portions also.

Food is good, but this place is too damn expensive!! Menu prices and a la cart ordering instead of combined meals makes it worse. No kids menu. It costs more than Culver’s and is not as good. They do not prioritize orders for dine in customers. Lots of pickup orders can delay food for dining in during busy periods and they don’t inform you of this. This place is a last resort for my and many other area families because of this.
