So good! I ordered a Microdoser pizza to go (Sea Coast mushrooms, caramelized onions, black pepper) for to share with my mom. We both loved it, and are fans of a wood fired crust that is both chewy + has some char on it. Will be back to try the others for sure.

Ordered two to go pizzas and was somewhat disappointed. I showed up a couple minutes before the time, and didn’t mind waiting but got attitude from staff about being early. Then my pizza came out burned so they decided to remake it and not say anything to me. Ended up being 15 minutes past pick up time when pizzas were actually ready. Then when I went to eat one the dough was raw. Black crust but raw dough. Not sure how you can even do that. Also I added sausage to one pizza and it looks like it was thrown on top as an after thought not actually baked with the pie. All that together is frustrating when you’re paying $50 for 2, 12 inch pizzas.
Flavors were good but they definitely need to work on timing, consistency and customer service.

We have been recurring customers of Back Door Kitchen since they opened, and we were recently able to have an event there. First, Liz, the General Manager/Event Coordinator, did a wonderful job working and communicating with us to ensure everything went well. Second, the venue was the perfect size for a birthday party for ~20 people and was well organized by the team. Lastly, the food was prepared and served to perfection. Everyone had a wonderful time, and we 100% recommend this as a place to reserve for an event!

Holy Toledo! This is the best pizza that I think I have ever eaten! I have worked 27 years in restaurants and eaten my weight in pizzas many times over. THIS – is something SPECIAL. My daughter and I came in, ordered a special Carnitas and an EZY CHZY pizza, as well as a Caprese Sandwich. I almost never eat the crust anywhere – I couldn’t get enough of this one. Ate it for lunch that day, dinner that night, AND breakfast the next morning. Bravo for doing it right, I can’t stop telling all of my friends! A+++
This pizza is worth going out of your way for. I live over 35 minutes away. I don’t think I will be eating pizza anywhere else for awhile!

Great coal. Stove pizza in the velvet mall in the stonington, borough. Paired with the farmer’s market Makes a great saturday visit. They have all kinds of pizza and sandwiches. I took a picture of the pizza that I had. It was the margarita pizza.

Very nice staff, pizza was next level. I’m a sucker for anything sour dough. The spud pizza with pesto was absolutely phenomenal. Everything was very fresh.

We’ve tried a lot of pizza in the area lately and Back Door Pizza is by far the best we’ve ever had.
The buffalo chicken pizza was our absolute favorite.
So glad we stumbled upon this spot, it’ll be our go to pizza place for the foreseeable future.

I tried the carnitas pizza, and it was a game changer. The wood-fired pizza combined with the Mexican influence made for the best of both worlds. It’s not your typical pizza, but that’s what makes it so good. It’s easily the best thing I’ve had in Connecticut.
