I had the chicken fried steak with hashbrowns and eggs at 430 pm. It was soooo yummy and reasonably priced 🙂 Cozy, down to earth. They had a fireplace going 🙂 Fyi: check the hours. I noticed during the WEEK they close at 3pm except Friday and Saturday. Sunday they close at 2 ! Bring cash if ya wanna save as they have a small fee for cards.

Our waitress was lovely. The service was quick and we were checked on just the right amount. The food was good but nothing really special. Just what you expect for breakfast at a family restaurant. I will say this was the first time I ordered a breakfast skillet and it was not served in a skillet.
The menu was large and they had a big variety of food options.

Portions were good size, food came out fast too. The server was friendly and attentive, she even kept an eye on my coffee cup to keep it full. I had to go with 4 stars though because the shredded cheese in my omelette wasn’t and didn’t melt. Otherwise it was good.

Very busy for lunch, so we were glad we arrived just before Noon and had a good choice of tables before it got crowded. I only rated the service a 4 because the server never came back to refill our beverages, both of which we had finished. The food was very good. We went on a Friday, and each had the Senior 2 piece fish fry plate, which was $8.99 before 4:00pm. There is a choice of baked or fried fish (cod), choice of 6 different potatoes, and choice of soup or salad. The soups that day were Fish Chowder and Chicken Dumpling, both very good.

I had some time to kill between appointments and I saw a lot of cars here! That’s usually a good sign of good food! They have a huge menu with breakfast served all day and tons of other options plus daily specials. Service was friendly and fast, and the food was very good! I’d definitely stop here again when in the area!

I can’t say enough good things about the Rhinelander Family Restaurant! We drive 4 hours up here to ride the beautiful trails and this is our #1 place to eat. The food is excellent! We have never had a bad meal. Prices are great and it’s definitely a friendly atmosphere. On top of this, the staff is absolutely incredible! Jennifer hustles her tail off with a giant smile on her face and makes sure all customers are taken care of. Meadow is a wonderful server who always makes sure we have what we need and Vicente is the silent guy on the side clearing the tables, making sure the restaurant is super clean and even shovels the snow from the walkways. I’ve never seen wait staff work so hard in a pleasant manner! I highly, highly recommend this establishment!

Food was good, so was the service. Will eat here again…. And we did, first time we had breakfast, this time lunch. The Patty melt and Alpine Chicken Sandwich were delicious. The kids loved the fries and chicken tenders. This is our new favorite spot when we come to Rhinelander.
