Stopped by to give it a try while traveling for business and it was a fantastic slice of pizza. I’d definitely come back next time I was in town. The pizza was well cooked, the sauce was fantastic and I loved the cupping pepperoni.

I haven’t been to Angelos for years but back in the day when I worked and lived near West Penn, I used to go often. Last night after a show we ducked in spontaneously and I was so happy we did. The nostalgic pizza shop smell, the perfect cupped pepperoni, the provolone hoagie…man. I want to say that I really enjoyed it, it tasted like I remembered and made me remember why I need to visit Bloomfield a little more often.

Good boardwalk traditional cut pizza. Slightly heavier amount of cheese for cheese lovers with equally good amount of sauce. Crust was thicker (than a NY slice) but definitely something that you can enjoy easily.
Didn’t like the garlic parm wings because they were bland. The garlic flavor wasn’t there, so all the oil was at the bottom and wings were covered in parm. Even after dipping the wings in oil, I couldn’t taste the garlic flavor. I’d rather have plain wings with a side dip of garlic parm sauce. Cool staff but they were super busy!

This is a great pizza place. Boardwalk cuts are wonderful. My cousin Rich Bassett lived up the street, and when he wasn’t able to get out and about because of health reasons they were nice enough to deliver to him. Unfortunately my cousin passed away this past March. When I’m back in the Burgh next spring I will be having a cut just for him . Pepperoni and Anchovies!!

Long been a highly mediocre pizza shop.in little Italy?? But a 90 minute wait to make a sub sandwich…90s minutes..for a sub…not delivery…pickup. I truly don’t understand. Not worth the wait. Truly a consistently abysmal experience. Skip it. Theres other options.

As soon as I pulled up, I noticed there was barely any parking. Once I finally got a spot and got out, the parking lot smelled like weed. Not sure what goes on there but when I get to a restaurant I don’t like to be welcomed by that smell. Food was also definitely nothing like they advertise.

Pizza was okay. Not really memorable. Ya know how good or great pizza sticks in your mind. This didn’t. Nice helping of cheese tho.

Also got the an Italian sausage hoagie. 2 stars for that. Was burned and very little on it. Would not recommend. Looked nice. But the taste was not there for me.

Angelo’s is a Pittsburgh culinary institution. If you want great Steel City pizzas and hoagies, they have to be on your short list.

I love their Italian Hoagies ($16) It’s what I remember growing up. Now that I’m living in Austin, when I return to my hometown, I need one of them each trip and am 16 again listening to Boston’s More Than a Feeling.

The Italian hoagie comes with wonderful Italian meats sliced thin with melted cheese. Warmed in the oven, it outs the perfect crunch on the bread. Add the onions, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and don’t forget both Italian dressing AND mayo. Whole hoagies are at least 16 inches and fully filled. BTW, It is appropriate to have a jug of Turner’s Iced Tea with your hoagie.

Angelo’s has great pizza too. They serve an amazing Sicilian Pizza (Squre & 12 large cuts) and a Deluxe Pizza (Large & choice of 4 toppings). $24.75 each.

I gonna stop there. My stomach is happy and full. If you’re an East Coast pizza fan, you will like their style.

IM SO TIRED OF ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE AND MY FOOD NOT BEING RIGHT. Last week I got 3 large pizza’s delivered, and do you know they were ALL over cooked and burnt! Today I gave them another try by ordering another hoagie I just could not eat. A hole Tuna Hoagie and they ruined it by putting it in their pizza oven and cooking it to crisp! WTH Angelo’s? And they would not remake my sandwich, so I’m at a loss yet again. I cannot deal. You all have missed the customer service mark. Who the hell wants hot tuna as a hoagie! You all should be ashamed! I’m DONE!
