We were fortunate enough to discover this place and its very friendly owner. They have a variety of delicious breads; the blueberry and banana ones were my favorites. The prices are very reasonable! If you’re ever in Galena, I highly recommend you stop by this shop!

Purchased cinnamon raisin bread at the Dubuque Farmers Market. Unfortunately the bread was extremely dry. A definite bummer. Also, the bread price 4.50, which was very reasonable, but the sticker fell off in my bag and the sticker underneath was 4.00. I do understand that it cost a bit more to take something to Farmers Market due to transport costs and space rentals, but only use one tag please. Take the other one off. Paying 4.50 for good bread is reasonable, paying 4.50 for dry bread that was previously 4.00 is frustrating. With all that said, I would give them another try because there are other positive reviews and we want to support locally owned business.

So I went to this place. I’m probably their busiest day of the year which was the Galena Halloween parade. It was the only place I didn’t have a mile long line for food even though it seems like they just made sweets and breads and things like that. We saw that the cinnamon rolls were fresh because the bags were sweating a little bit. I walked out of there with two huge almost 8 in round cinnamon rolls and six drinks for 20 bucks which was a deal. The gentleman working behind the cash register was extremely nice even though some of the guests were rude, he never let it phase him. When we got back to our seats and started eating it because it was so fresh and made with care. It’s definitely one of the best desserts I ever had. Hats off to the whole crew working in the back, the gentleman the cash register, and for being open during this busy day. Thank you.

Stopped by to check this place out and the moment you step inside, the bakery smell greets you. We absolutely loved the cookies and bread we bought- which were all very reasonably priced. Very friendly service as well. Great spot which we’ll visit again next time we’re in town.

Wonderful handmade baked goods at Klein’s market bakery on main Street in Galena. We love their cinnamon bread, their banana bread and blueberry bread. They also have jams and jellies for sale. They also have cookies and other baked goods.

Stopped in town for a short visit and popped in here! Was surprised it felt like a small selection but it was worth it! The cinnamon rolls were good and so were the cookies. I got something else cut from bars and didn’t look at the tag. They were sooo delicious, I will never forget and the next time I’m in Galena I will be back!

1st time here. Clean place with nice selection of baked goods. Wow I grew up on Kolaches, o I bought some apricot Kolaches. Sorry to say I was more than extremely disappointed in them. They are not worth ever buying again. Also don’t put invisible filling in them.

More pumpkin 2 bites please! These are the best thing I’ve ever eaten. If you dream of a small lovely bakery run by some of the hardest working people on Main St, this is it. If you’re wondering what that delightful scent is on Main Street, it’s this cozy always freshly stocked bakery. Thank you!

If the wheat bread wasn’t missing the salt and the baked cakes and cupcaces weren’t exposed to the 80 degrees room temp., and the shop did not keep doors open inviting flies in, I would have rated this business higher. Overall, I liked the old fashion way of doing business, when you pay a flat price, no tax surcharge.
