Tropical Grille is a fast casual dinning concept founded in Greenville SC in 2010, our goal is to provide our guest with an exception service experience and flavors that will keep them wanting more. Monday night at 50 mins from closing sometime with whatever pinch of salt you feel is appropriate.
Dirty tables, dead atmosphere and improperly exited food with no drinks options besides soda.
As of writing there is a VILE stench of raw sewage emanating from somewhere in the establishment that is permitting the eating environment.
As of time of finishing my meal the stench persists and has thoroughly ruined the meal.
The meal itself was a salmon bowl. The salmon was overly dosed with lemon to the point where it needed to be smothered or covered with some other carb and/or sauce to be palatable. The rice was hard and lame but this is the standard for this state and county and therefore aught not be counted against this establishment. I found the vegetables fine and the broccoli pretty good.
I understand that a new member of staff was being trained when we arrived and also we are party of (separated bills) eight arriving 50 minutes before total close. But the stench and the poor service and preparation cannot afford a higher score than what I have given.

I was really disappointed with my visit to Tropical Grille. I ordered a bowl expecting a flavorful, satisfying meal, but instead got undercooked rice that was actually raw and hard. On top of that, it was overly salty to the point that it was hard to eat. It completely ruined the entire dish. I don’t know if it was a one-time kitchen mistake or a sign of poor quality control, but either way, it was unacceptable.

I love this place but they need to tell food preparer’s not to serve bad lettuce. I’ve had this happen twice. It can make people sick. If it’s brown it needs to be thrown out .

I’ll start by saying that the food here is good when we come. But I was disappointed by our most recent visit. No one acknowledged us when we walked in, though there was a group of three or four employees gathered at a table in the restaurant, just hanging out. We ordered on the digital kiosk. Still, no acknowledgement. We walked up to the counter and had to ask for cups and a bottle opener for a drink. The staff were not friendly to us, but just handed us the cups without really speaking to us. We were given the wrong sauces and no forks with our order. The food was good, portion sizes good. The service was just disappointing and lacking. It makes me not want to come to this location as much. The location Wade Hampton is superior to this one.

Will not be returning to this restaurant again. I have been to this place 3 times and each time there was nothing but issues 15+ minute wait times to get food and then the food is cold. Plus both times I have been through the drive thru I didn’t get all my food and the the employees get pissed at you for calling out that you are missing food. The employees all have bad attitude. This time when I got my food it was cold and burnt at the same time. My fiancé ordered a bbq pulled pork sandwhich and yuca bites they didn’t give us the yuca bites and his sandwich had no bbq on it. I got the sweet plantains and they were charred like crazy. For how much you pay for their food should not be having this many issues.

Let’s give five stars to Becky for her service! I had to call in her order and she was such a delight to speak with. It made connecting very easily. Food is delicious as always, and a much healthier option than other restaurants in the area.

This Tropical Grille consistently drops the ball, whether its bad service, extreme wait times, running out of basic ingredients, or just poor food quality. If you are trying to get food in less than 30 minutes, don’t go at night. Tonight, after ordering and waiting for 15 minutes, I went to ask when the food would be ready, and I was told they ran out of yellow rice. Now I have to deal with tired, hungry children who are falling apart because I just wasted 25 minutes on food I never got.

Food is outstanding. The people that work there are as helpful as possible. Unfortunately the seats are very uncomfortable and when I went it did not seem like they had a dedicated person to cleaning tables. Also I wish that they would put as much food as they did when in store as they do on doordash. You get shorted in doordash

Went by Tuesday at 1130am went to drive through no one came on the intercom so I went to window they looked dead at me and kept on doing with they were doing which was eating never came to the window or anything so i.drove around as one of the workers were coming outside I asked her
