We stumbled upon this nice hole-in-the-wall place for tasty Chinese (or Japanese) food on Christmas Day, happy to find someplace open and even more pleased that the food was very good. Lo mein and wonton soup were the standouts. Service was friendly. The dining area was small and bare-bones but very clean. Judging from the large number of take-out orders while we were there, they’re popular with staff at the nearby Penn and Jefferson hospitals, which we took as a good sign.

Great sushi with fresh ingredients. The nori was still crunchy and had a snap to it when you bite in. The rice was fresh and tender, and the fish had an excellent flavor.
For just 17.25 for 3 rolls it is a great deal for the location, and the special has both traditional and American style rolls to fit every taste.
I recommend the yellowtail roll dipped in chili oil and soy sauce.

Ordered via Uber Eats. Everything came warm and delicious. Ordered the scallion pancakes, house special tofu soup & 3 rolls: salmon, tuna, and Philly. Everything was delicious.

Between DC and Philly, this place is one of the best Chinese restaurants for vegetarians. A hidden gem. Will definitely be going back.

Ordered their healthy protein and veggie meal with rice. Asked for gluten free soy sauce. They have the gf soy sauce, I didn’t have any reaction, and I’ve successfully ordered multiple times so will continue to do so!

The staff were very nice and so was the food. I loved the sushi so much. The spider roll and the special sashimi were so good. We walked upon it and we tried a lot of the items on the menu and they were all very yummy. I really enjoyed the steamed dumplings as well as the cold noodles too. Great food and great service.

This is the fourth and last time we will order from Green Garden. They must have changed owners and/or management in the last 1-2 years. We use to order from here 1-2 times per week. Now the order is wrong or missing items every time, consistently and when you reach out to grub hub or door dash they just block your address so you can no longer order. It’s sad, because this was one of the best places to get good Chinese from in the city. Won’t ever order from here again.

I’ve only gotten takeout sushi from this place, so I can’t provide much insight on other menu items. However, I’ve never had a bad meal from this restaurant, especially the tuna avocado roll, salmon avocado roll, and shrimp tempura roll, which are my go-to’s.
