We did the ayce and it was great! The food was good and tasted fresh. The portions are also very nice with the nigiri having a good rice-to-fish ratio. We were inpressed by the size of the ramen, especially since this is ayce. The place is a bit smaller, so there will be a wait during peak times, but we were able to be seated within 35 minutes. Because they get busy, service can get slow so I recommend ordering more at one time. There is a 90 minute time limit.

My husband and I recently visited Yama Sushi House for the first time. The sushi itself was great, and our waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, the timing of the food seriously impacted our experience. We received our first sushi order, but then waited about 25 minutes for the next roll. After that, we waited over another 30 minutes for the following roll, which still didn’t arrive. We had to keep asking our waitress for updates, and after nearly 40 minutes, we finally received the baked sushi roll. At several points, it was hard not to just leave.
It felt like the restaurant may have been too busy to keep up with orders. While the food and service were good, the long wait times made this a frustrating first experience. If you don’t have a lot of time or are looking for a quicker meal, there may be other options worth considering.

I have been coming here for years! It is my favorite sushi restaurant in AZ. They have consistently been top notch with quality, speed, and variety of their sushi. The staff is so sweet and helpful. Recently, we especially love our waitress, Lin.

If you’re looking for wonderful food and great service come here. We’re regulars and we’re gone for a couple months (we had a baby) and the staff remembered us and were so nice . We won’t go to any other sushi house. Thank you guys for the awesome job this evening and being so good with our son! We love you guys (and I’m so sorry I’m bad with names ).

Owners are greedy and treat regular customers poorly. I’ve been going to Yama for a little under 3 years, spent in the ball park of 10-15k in that time. Recently the owner tried to start up charging me for my regular order. The owners agreed they felt I should pay an extra $1.00 per order of nigiri, FOR LEMON ZEST…. And since this was the case I wouldn’t be able to participate their all you can eat option and would have to pay regular price. I’ve been going to this Yama location since they were slower and less busy on average, and after they started doing all you can eat, it got extremely busy. And now that it’s busy the owners don’t feel the need to please or reason with longtime regulars. I just walked back in and tried to reason with the staff and they turned me away. Its sad because I love the staff and food, but trying to price gouge longtime regulars is bad business. Hoping for a resolution, but will be taking my business elsewhere until that point.

Great place would have gotten a 5 star but the server fail this restaurant. Brought in my family for dinner a few nights back. The quality of the food was great but when it came down to service it wasn’t as good. First she wasn’t very attentive and told us she was doing us a favor by extending hour limit while we waited most of the stay to place orders. Got my bill and was hit with a 20% gratuity fee and i asked the server and she stated that its dinner so instead of 18% gratuity, it would be 20% instead. Here is the thing i do not have a problem with gratuity but when the hell as it been a thing to bump up gratuity fee when it clearly states on the rule for 18%. Ahah i found that funny so I gave her more even though she charged me 20% service fee. She clearly needed it. My reservation was 5 people by the way. Me, my wife and 3 kids. Safe to say as much as we love the food, i do not think we will be returning. By far the craziest thing i have heard. Terrible!!!

My family of 8 came in for my husband’s birthday and we loved it! We did the all you can eat and the price was absolutely reasonable for both the variety and quality of the sushi. Our server, Anh, was so sweet and all of the staff members were super nice and helpful. We’ll definitely be coming back.
