This place has a real “townie’ feel to it: good food, comfortable setting, and very reasonable prices. I got the impression that most of the customers were “regulars.”
I really liked the Caldo Verde (very rich and flavorful), and my husband’s salted cod dish (fried, with olive oil and onions) was very good. My Pork Aletejana was a bit too salty, and the meat wasn’t nearly as tender as it should have been, but it wasn’t bad. The portion sizes here are enormous – clearly enough for two meals or more.
The flan was homemade and quite tasty; the espresso was burned and left something to be desired, but I find that to be the case at most Portuguese restaurants. I’m not sure why, but it’s far from the end of the world. Ha, Ha!!
Our waitress was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu.
If we find ourselves in this neck of the woods again, I’d go back.

We loved it. Very friendly servers and staff! They were Very busy and still kind and welcoming to us. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as I asked, the calamari was also perfect and ample portion. Thank you all so much.

The service was superb. I ordered the Junior steak thinking I would get a small portion. It was quite a generous portion. The steak was perfectly cooked to order. The fries and rice were tasty. I enjoyed a side garden salad with the white Zinfandel dressing. It did not disappoint.

Great local Portuguese food. Really good calamari, some of the best around. Must try if you come. Some of my favorites are steak Serrano, cod fish murro ( messy & stinky) but delicious dish. Wife loves shrimp captain style. Little necks bulhao pato (garlic and white wine) are great too. Get some grandma pudding to go. God size portions.

Great place for dinner out. Quick friendly service and the food is great. Many bigger groups come in for celebrations and they will push the tables together. My favorite is the clams casino! My margarita was very pretty and taste great too! Full bar inside with seating!

No idea what happened to this place. They used to have an awesome Carne Alentejana… What I got there today was not good, but not terrible. Very mediocre. Other meals in my party included the rabbit, which was just “ok”. The sword fish and Tuna were both terrible. Bland, like out of a frozen dinner. The worst part about this place is the horrible service… The place was empty when we arrived so there is no excuse. Waited a half hour to order and get drinks. They forgot my water and I wouldn’t be getting one until an hour in, when our food finally arrived… yes, an hour… we ate the mediocre food… then we finished eating and they came and cleaned our table…..and we then continued to wait another 40 minutes just trying to pay and leave. Mandatory 20% tip, which is fine, except the service was BAD! Probably why they didn’t care about serving us very well.

This place came highly recommended by a family member for their Portuguese food, so I was really looking forward to trying it out.
I ordered a personal favorite of mine – grilled tuna steak. For a mere $20, you get a pretty large piece of tuna. My mouth was watering at the sight! However, I was disappointed to find the tuna to be on the dry side. I ate less than 1/4 of it and took the rest home with the hopes of salvaging it with a little homemade sauce of some sort.
Service was friendly and attentive, with the waitress demonstrating good knowledge of the menu and descriptions of the entrees.
While my first visit may have been a little disappointing, I won’t rule out returning to try other menu offerings (tuna can be a tricky fish to cook properly without drying it out).

One of our favorite local Portuguese restraints. Great food, reasonably priced and the best espresso martinis in the area. While all the staff is wonderful we are always excited to see Nella!

Lovely nautical themed Portuguese-American restaurant. My baked scrod was good, as was my margarita and tirimisu. There are lots of options for food. Lots of Portuguese dishes and fish, especially cod. Chicken dishes and flatbread are available, too. Full bar. My only wish is that they make a drink menu. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Comfortable atmosphere.
