My son and I ate there Friday evening…we had a great meal..lasagna and chicken alfredo chicken wings and garden salads. The waiter was very efficient, great atmosphere was surprised when we walked in! Great decor very relaxing and very classy. ..talked with the owner she was so nice! Loved it,and will recommend it to anyone asking where they should eat.

Still smells of bowling alley, but very classy and the food was incredible. I had the steak tips and they were perfectly seasoned, no one else in my group had any problems either. Its pricey, but worth it.

Gorgeous inside, very pleasant atmosphere. We really enjoyed our dinners as a whole, there were a couple issues but the flavors combinations are very well thought out and made up for the issues. We will be returning.

Recently had a salad for lunch at a business meeting held at Camino Grill and Bar. It was fine, though not particularly special. Not a negative experience for me though one of the other individuals at the meeting ordered something she thought she had ordered at lunch before and was informed that was not on the lunch menu any more. However they offered to make it for her anyway so that’s a plus for customer service.

Was originally seated at the back with a fine view of the Kitchen the seats were short and cheap and uncomfortable.

Ordered Prime Rib…..Rare, it came cold and had obviously been cut from a cold primal cut, and barely heated.

A Prime Rib is supposed to be cut from an existing baked warm rib roast and served on heated plate, or steak platter.

No sense of timing, portion/salad tiny on a saucer sized plate , Baked potato was from another world and looked like was old, or never properly heated.

Spoke with the Manager she replaced with what became medium rare and a properly cooked baked potato. On a sizzling hot plate.

This was a very expensive piece of meat ($35.00) that was never truly right.

Avoid the Prime Rib !!!
It is not properly prepared, and the Kitchen are clearly not prepared to cook it properly.

They appear to be using a Blowtorch rather than a Broiler… or Oven.

Avoid CAMINO GRILL !!!

Kids Spagetti tasted like hunts tomato sauce out of the can, food was just not great, service was mediocre at best, overall I hated it. I assume, because my friends have had great experiences there, that it was an off night but honestly I cannot bring myself to giving it another try it was just so terrible.

I eat here whenever I’m able to be off work early in the evening. I’ve been to Camino a few times. The food is always great no matter what I order. The side salad was very fresh. My patty melt and fries were awesome. I could tell the sourdough was fresh. The outside grilled perfectly. Onions were sweet as they were sauteed in Miller beer I was told. The sandwich melted in my mouth with each bite. The dirty fries are special. Highly seasoned, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The apple pie last night was a sugar bomb, lol. Crumb crust, tightly compact apple with lots of brown sugar topped off with a caramel drizzle. Of course I ordered it ala mode. They always seem to have the latest beer on draught. Yankton’s Ben’s is now able to sell their home brew via local distribution. I recommend any of those beers. The strawberry blonde was available last night…delicious. Still tasted like beer with a bit of berry flavor. Casual atmosphere. I noticed two TVs in a side room. As I was by myself I moved to watch the Cubbies stomp the red birds. I had a large crescent shaped table all to myself. I suspect my server, Kirsten, has been at Camino for sometime. She is an excellent server.

First try at the prime rib, it was overdone. I sent it back. The baked potatoe was cold, as were the vegtables. The butter hadn’t even started to melt on the potato. I sent them back. Second try…I got a condesending lecture from the owner. She proceeded to tell me the correct temp of a medium rare serving of prime rib. She was rude. They then served me the original baked potatoe that had since been microwaved and was now dry and hard. Our waitress was very accommodating and polite. She did her job very well and tried to remedy the situation. Bottom line…very disappointed and will never return.
