My wife and I are very picky about our Thai food. I spent time in Thailand and love Thai food. Thai Thani Kitchen is the absolute best Thai food you will find in downtown Seattle. Very authentic, with a casual atmosphere.

I’ve been to this place a couple times, and have tried both the Swimming Rama and Tom Yum
The Swimming Rama is a dish, mostly a US thing that’s not really found in Thailand, that consists of peanut sauce spread over pork (in my case) along with spinach and rice, while the Tom Yum is a hot & sour soup that has prawns, mushrooms, and other vegetables
Starting with the Swimming Rama, I liked most of it. the peanut sauce was super creamy, and had that wonderful nutty flavor. Having an excellent balance between the peanut flavor and the creamy taste was really good – and this was made better by the fact that the sauce coated everything it touched since it was poured on. It made a big impact on the spinach, rice, and pork
I didn’t expect rice to be served with this – but it was a welcome addition as I could use it to mix everything together. It combined pretty well with the sauce to serve as a base for both the spinach and pork. I also quite liked the spinach as well
Unfortunately, I thought the pork was really dry. It was a super lean cut, so no fat whatsoever – and it was utterly devoid of juice, making this a pretty hard eat. This was disappointing as the food would’ve been really improved had the pork been better
On the Tom Yum side – I don’t have too much to say about it. the shrimp in that was cooked pretty well, and the broth was relatively flavorful. I realized after ordering it that I don’t like soups, but I only have myself to blame for that one
This place isn’t too expensive – especially for lunch – but it can get on the more expensive side towards dinner. The portions are pretty large though – as I was quite full by the end of my lunch
Overall, it’s not bad Thai food, but I wouldn’t really call this any more than average. 7.25/10

The food here is priced like everything else in SLU, so more expensive than you’d like. But my meal was ready for pickup and the staff are nice. However, the Thai iced tea was pretty small, especially for the price, and the pad see ew was really, really greasy. The bottom of my take out box was an absolute puddle of grease. It still tasted good, but my belly hurts a bit after eating half, probably because it was fattier than I’m used to.

I ordered takeout from Thai Thani Kitchen – Pad See Ew and Panang Curry. The Pad See Ew was okay, maybe a bit soggy from the container. But I really liked the curry, it was flavorful and comforting. Overall, it was a good experience.

We were visiting this area and the restaurant came as a suggestion during our Google search. I’m not sure why they have such low ratings, but our experience was great. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and she was even teaching her little one the art of customer satisfaction. We ordered the wonton soup, crab wontons, asparagus salmon, seafood fried rice and the pineapple fried rice (I had my spice level at 4). The meal was delicious. Would definitely visit them again whenever we’re back in town.

Great food in big portions at very reasonable price! We ordered pad see ew, spicy basil pork and mango sticky rice for takeout. Everything was tasty and flavorful. I’m actually a little surprised at how this place is rated on google. Definitely much more worth than some of the highly rated Thai restaurants I’ve been to in California.

Very delicious! I am in town for 2 months & I know I will be here often. I got the Panang Curry w/ Chicken & Roti. The roti was a little undercooked for my liking but overall the food was so good. I love how many spice levels they have to choose from. I believe I got 2 out of 5 and it was still pretty spicy but perfect for me. The lady that handed me my food was very sweet as well!
