So thankful and grateful to have this beautiful and historic gem in our town! Awesome coffee, baked goods and service! And they are always willing to be a part of our local events! Check them out and you won’t be disappointed!

Outstanding food and service in a 130 year old building that’s been faithfully maintained. A true regional gem that’s worth the drive from Houston. Anyone making the drive along 290 owes it to themselves to stop in, it’s as good as you’ll find within a hundred miles in either direction.
Caution: only open on weekends and only for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays, lunch on Sundays. Don’t try to call, you won’t get through – just show up. Super casual, no reservations required.

It’s a little pricey and no credit cards are accepted but the food was good, I ordered the garlic chicken and my favorite thing was the vegetables, the chicken needed a little more flavor in my opinion or maybe that’s how French food is supposed to taste! The dessert was delicious and the service was really good. Oh, the bread was great! Probably my favorite thing, it was a little sweet, so good! The chef came out to greet us, a very nice experience overall.

Steak was amazing and perfectly cooked to order. Good wine selection, and good family friendly staff. The chef comes around and personally checks on the food. Super impressed for such a small town. Remember to bring cash or check!! No credit!!

A corner of France in a tiny town, Burton, in the middle of Texas. Very nice people. A big truck stopped so I could take these pictures. The food in Brazos Belle is outstanding thanks to the talent of chef André, very nicely served, and at a reasonable price.

Constantly consistent wonderful food. Chef was trained in France working there and many other places including Houston. Now in Burton brings a fine dining menu to a beautiful old historical property. He makes his own bread, vinaigrette, and fantastic rustic pate. He uses some of his Mother’s recipes. Every thing we have tried off the menu has been perfectly prepared and delicious. Our only complaint is they are only open 3 times per weekend! !

A hidden gem! Who would find themselves in Burton, Texas on a Saturday night? We would. And we’ll do it again. It was worth the trip- I promise. I had the tilapia etouffee and Jerod had the steak. Hanna is a top-notch server. She was attentive and ready to help. Both dishes were the best we’ve ever had in a restaurant. You won’t ever go to another steakhouse again. Also, the chef came out and greeted us- what a personal touch. It made us feel welcome and important. What an experience.

Wow amazing! The salads were spectacular, my friend had an authentic French dish and it was such comfort food! Wine was great too. Cute little place on the square and the chef came out to talk to us too – super kind and unassuming. Wait staff were great too. Charming venue!

My husband and I made this our “fancy” dining experience on a weekend getaway. I absolutely LOVED that they knew what I was talking about when I requested a gluten-free entree. Great for celiacs. A warm atmosphere with GREAT food, we loved it. I got the salmon, and my husband got a perfectly cooked steak. We hope to go back and try more from the menu, and I will be sure to get dessert.

I ate here with my parents this weekend, and it was great! I had the mixed grill (steak and shrimp) and it was phenomenal. The steak had the consistency of prime rib, and the shrimp was served with small dollops of what seemed like a Cajun-inspired butter with just a little `heat’. My only complaints (and they are pretty minor): The vegetables were a little overdone, but still good– I just like a little more firmness personally. I’m glad the beef was so tender, because the steak knife I had could have used a stropping. And I understand dealing with distributers is not everyone’s cup of tea, but having a local beer like Shiner available would be a nice touch.
I loved the building (1880’s Mercantile if memory serves), and don’t mind at all they don’t take credit cards. Me and my family will definitely be back for more!
