I come to this Waffle House pretty often and usually enjoy it. But I’ve recently learned I’m gluten-intolerant, so the last two visits I’ve ordered the same safe combo: hash browns, eggs, grits, and ham. Both times I still got toast. I get that it “completes the meal,” but I didn’t order it, and I can’t eat it. Please stop adding it by default. I’ll gladly pay extra, just don’t sneak bread onto the plate.
Also, our waitress tonight, Alisa… interesting experience. She took our drink orders, dropped them off, then just stood there staring at us until we asked if she was taking our order. She said she doesn’t talk much, then immediately turned around and yelled orders across the restaurant like a WWE announcer. I’m just trying to enjoy my food without the loudness of the 3 employees goofing off. Also, she never asked us for refills. That would have been nice. Maybe it was just an off night, but it was strange up in the WFH, They made it super awkward. I just wanted to eat and skidaddle.
Food was a 10/10 though.

Oh my god… Let me tell you about Ms. Emily is the most thoughtful individual at waffle house. She’s always checking in on us. I tell you this when I say when we go to waffle House and EMILY is NOT there we turn around and go to Zaxby’s instead. Emily doesn’t just complete the experience, she IS the experience.

Emily is the best waitress I’ve ever had!! She’s always been sweet and attentive no matter where I sit. She doesn’t take long to check up or take my order and makes sure the food gets to me on time. Seeing her enjoying being around her coworkers and the regulars there give the place such a homey feeling and puts me at ease. Emily will always be my go to waitress!!!!

Boyfriend and I came in early in the morning (~4 AM) before I went to work and the waitress we had dropped an entire rack of cups while making our drinks and PROCEEDED TO USE TWO OF THE FLOOR CUPS TO MAKE OUR WATERS. Neither of us drank it and my boyfriend nearly walked us both out, but I insisted we stay since I didn’t wanna go anywhere else at the time and nothing else was open. The waitress then took our orders but didn’t write it down and asked me about a burger I never said anything about. I could see the agitation in my boyfriend’s eyes, but I tried my best to be understanding to her since she was working the night shift. Our food was good (thankfully, the cook on duty was diligent and kind), but we’re never coming back. Don’t go the WH at around 4 or 5 AM, you might not have a great experience.

Christian was the BEST server I have ever had at a WH. Attentive, friendly, and made sure our order got in and out very fast. Our food was cooked perfectly, and my waffle was soft and fluffy. 10/10, give Christian a raise.
