The French Bakery at Crossroads is a great local spot for pastries, coffee, and casual brunch fare with indoor and outdoor seating. Love the flaky croissants, the variety of fresh pastries, and friendly, prompt service. It’s a cozy place to grab coffee and a treat or a light lunch with good parking nearby. Some of my favorites include classics like almond or fruit-filled croissants, crepes, and hot drinks like Cappuccino.

Overall, it’s a pleasant bakery with plenty of tasty options and reliable service, though quality can vary by visit. Great for a casual stop, especially if you focus on their well-liked pastries and coffee.

Unfortunately, I have come here many times and keep being disappointed. I love a good Nutella/fruit crepe, but this place just butchers them which is so hard to do because they are so easy to make. Every time I order one, they are smothered in so much Nutella it’s overwhelming. The strawberries always taste old, or like they were once frozen and now defrosted and days old. Yuck.

If you’re looking for an exceptionally good crepe that balances the ratio of its ingredients well and ALWAYS uses fresh ingredients, pls do yourself a favor and go over to The Royal Bakehouse in downtown Bellevue. They offer validated parking in the garage next to them as well, so it’s always easy to find parking.

I really hoped to like this bakery, but unfortunately, it just didn’t work out for me, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

The hot chocolate was very watery — I couldn’t finish it. Maybe the proportions were off because I ordered a large, but it really lacked flavor.

I also tried a few different croissants, but they were quite tough and didn’t taste very fresh. I especially love the twice-baked almond croissant at Bakery Nouveau, so I was hoping for something similar here, but this one didn’t quite meet expectations.

The chocolate chip cookie was also not to my taste, and overall, the baked goods I tried didn’t leave a great impression.

I visited early in the morning, so perhaps it was just a rough start to the day, but the staff seemed a bit distant and not particularly welcoming.

The French Backery located in the neighborhood of Crossroads, Bellevue WA is an excellent spot for really good and delicious pastries, sandwiches, and a really good selection of coffee, latte and the list goes on. On our family road trip in Seattle, we ate here twice. The quality of the food and pastry are soooo good! The staff was so nice with us! If we ever return to Seattle, definitely eating here is a must. Highly recommend it!!! ☕

The French Bakery has so many cakes, pastries, and beverages to choose from!!

Their staff is very helpful, kind, and friendly.

I enjoyed their Matcha latté and a sandwich with a side of salad.

My friend had a ham and cheese croissant with their Chai Tea latté.

The line wasn’t long when we came for brunch. Our hot lattés were prepared promptly and our food was served in about 15-20 minutes from the time we ordered.

There’s a lot of parking around Crossroads Mall, so parking won’t be an issue.

Next time I’ll try a couple of their French pastries ☕️

I have been to other French Bakery locations but this is the first time at the Crossroads location. This is at the Crossroads Mall close to the QFC.

Just grabbed a pastry and an americano. Good start to the day.

A cute bakery that also has hot and cold sandwiches, paninis, crepes and coffee.

Service is fast. Most of the time when we go, there’s no line. Orders are taken promptly and staff are patient (with my occasional indecisiveness). Food is served usually in 20 minutes or less.

They have indoor and outdoor options, and it definitely feels more spacious in the summer but winter could be cozy. I like the decor overall. Soft, but light colors so it feels spacious and welcoming.

I can say in all honesty these were the best crepes I’ve ever had. I recommend the classic lemon & sugar. Cold sandwiches are also my go-to.

You can’t go wrong with any fresh pastry or cake; they’re all delicious.

The blonde guy that makes coffee in the afternoon is so rude. So disrespectful.Talks back at customers. The afternoon staff have no manners compared to the morning staff. The guy that is taking your order (dark curly hair) needs more training on how to manage taking orders. When you ask for espresso he should put in an order for espresso not macchiato. He need to learn the difference between those coffees. Also when I told him I need to put my email for the points he told me that you put the email after you pay; how you put the email after you pay? Bottom line, train your afternoon staff. They are incompetent!

The owners must struggling with panini crisis, the worst panini sandwich I’ve ever had, no pesto sauce, barely any turkey or cheese, the bread so thin you can see through it. DO NOT BUY! Dirty floors all over, people are stepping on bread crumbs nonstop, perhaps on xmas I’ll donate vacuum cleaner

I’ve been a loyal customer of this cafe for almost two years now, primarily for their freshly sliced whole wheat and 9 grains bread. The staff is generally friendly, so I’ve overlooked a few rude incidents in the past. However, today’s experience was particularly disappointing and prompted me to write this review.

I’m not sure if the cashier around 12 pm today was angry, rude, or racist, but as soon as I paid for my pick-up order of a couple of bread loaves, he went silent and handed them over to me as if it was a favor. I pay $14 every week for two loaves of bread, and if your staff expects to be tipped for simply putting pre-made bread loaves in a bag and handing them to customers, that’s simply baffling. I expect to be treated with respect and kindness.

Having experienced this rude behavior, I’m considering trying other cafes instead of wasting my time and money at this place where smiling at a customer is treated as an inconvenience.

I’m leaving two stars just for your delicious bread.
