Cozy place serving familiar Italian fare such as meatballs, pasta & veal, plus tiramisu & cannoli.

My visit tonight was my third visit at Josephine’s. For the third time I was underwhelmed. Ordered the chicken francese. The chicken had no flavor. To much water in the bottom of the bowl, not draining the pasta enough. I was told it was the wine of the dish. Well, if that was the case the wine should have been in the sauce, not in the bottom of the bowl. I cannot understand why folks think this place is amazing. I’ve had better dinners at Olive Garden. Never again.

So glad we stumbled upon this place! But beware there are only 10 tables so you must get there early when they open @ 5pm. No reservations and it’s a fixed menu weekly (but found on website) everything was very good and fresh Italian bread. Definitely recommend!

the serendipity of finding this place was just as wonderful as the food that was enjoyed here. from the spinach balls appetizer with such a creamy crunch to them, to the main corse of chicken marsala that melted in the mouth. the chicken was so deliciously juicy, paired with the mushroom sauce filled with flavor. how is made room for the conolie was the question of the night. that would have been a sin to pass up. 10/10 recommend!!!

This place was so incredible!!! I was shocked to find one of the best Italian restaurants hiding in Kitty Hawk. The bread is homemade, baked to perfection as well as the pesto served with it. The tomato sauce tasted so fresh and delicious. We ordered the grape leaves, stuffed peppers, chicken parm and tiramisu to share. You can tell everything here is made in house with real, fresh ingredients. So glad to have stumbled upon Josephine’s, looking forward to visiting again soon.

Great food, atmosphere and service. Had a wonderful dinner there on a Saturday evening. Everything from the salad to entree was fresh and delicious. Cannot wait to go back.

Owner / Manager was the rudest person and we waited for our food for over an hour. Once we asked to check on our food because other people who came in later had eaten, paid and left the owner came over with a seating chart to argue with us about how wrong we were. WTH! We will never go back and the food was mediocre to say the least. Once reviewing other reviews it’s seems this is very consistent behavior from them.

Great food, service, and ambiance.
Enjoyed bread service (complete with oil and pesto for dipping) and wine options, amazing salads, entrees were all on-point. Portions are ample; we took leftovers in boxes with no problems.
May have to wait (outside or at the bar) as the place is usually packed for all three seatings. Worth it.

We love this place. The food is excellent. However, this time we got there at 5, there was a line so we ate at the bar. For some reason we had to wait an hour for our food. Everyone around us was served, even people who came in after us. We didn’t really mind, but no kind of explanation or apology was offered. Food was plentiful and wonderful.

We have been here twice, and everything was great both times.
I had the Combo, Meatballs, Sausage, pasta with bolenase sauce.
You can definitely tell their dishes are homemade and pride is taken when making these dishes.

Wow A small little gem on the outer banks. Have seen this place for years and finally eaten there. I have wasted alot of time not eating here. Food is authentic, tasted fresh and staff is awesome. Great date night or small party. It’s a small place so come early. It is well worth the wait. I would drive 1 hour 45 min from home to eat here when craving authentic Italian food.
