The buffalo shrimp we’re heavily sauced which made them really super messy but still were good. The crayfish were decent (spicey/size) and the crab stuffed mushrooms were good! They also offer Veteran discount. Our waitstaff were pretty attentive And courteous. It was not busy at lunch on a Friday which is too bad…They are definitely worth the chance to check them out!!!

The gumbo sign grabbed my attention, so I stopped by. Lots of televisions in the place, and kind of a sports bar vibe. Service was adequate. I ordered a couple of top shelf margaritas, but returned them because they were pretty bad. They tasted like a crystal light limeade or something. The gumbo wasn’t gumbo. Granted, as a former New Orleans resident, I expect Louisiana gumbo, but this didn’t taste anything like gumbo. It’s edible, just not gumbo. I didn’t eat it. On the plus side, I ordered fajitas for 2 and they were pretty good. Beans were good, and although I’m not a big fan of dirty rice, it did taste good with the beans. They don’t bring chips and salsa to the table, they bring chips and some kind of white sauce. I’m not sure what it is, it’s okay, but I’d prefer salsa.

This place is a hidden gem.
Some of the reviews had me hesitant but I decided to try it out and was actually impressed.
I went during their happy hour so it wasn’t packed and the food, service, and atmosphere were all great.
Our server Edgar was on top of everything. Very kind and attentive! The atmosphere is definitely a vibe. You can tell they put effort into the decor and setup. This is a good spot to work from since they have tables near outlets.
The food was great & the drinks were strong and tasty! Definitely recommend the passionfruit margarita!

Update!!! Wow, made it back here on a Thursday and had the Thursday Special, a Crab and Shrimp Boil for ONLY $18.99!!!?! Included a meaty cluster of Crab, a dozen Shrimp and sausage/potato/corn. The Palapa sauce (a remoulade) that it came with was soooo addicting and the seafood was cooked perfect with a great boil flavor. This is a fantastic deal and Sabino, the bartender/server extraordinaire, was nice, professional and attentive. The margaritas are the best in the area, both rocks and frozen are delicious.
I was here on Tuesday and sat at the bar. Monica was the best, very professional and attentive. I had the shrimp diabla and the spice was on point with the shrimp cooked perfectly. I highly recommend Palapa for anyone who the best TexMex in Spring.

This was my first time here and I will definitely be coming back often. The house margarita is great and the service was awesome! I had the seafood enchiladas and they were delicious. Max was our waiter, he was informative and relaxed, and offered great service to us. We were in no hurry and he didn’t try to rush us and was not imposing in any way, but rather made us feel comfortable, and let us move at our own pace. If you’re looking for a relaxed atmosphere with delicious seafood, and good drinks this is the place to go. I highly recommend.
