Established in 1969 by Greek immigrants John and Dina Plataniotis, Athens Pizzeria has been serving the greater Cleveland area for over 55 years! In 1980, ownership was transferred to John’s sister, Rose, and her husband Mike. Now their three sons, Nick, Mike, and Spiro operate the two locations. True to its roots, Athens remains a small family-run business with the primary focus of serving quality food.

We order from Athens almost every Friday. Last order I had a salad on it that got missed. I wasn’t going to make a big deal about it, we love this place so much and I know how chaotic Fridays get for them. Not only did they realize it got missed and credited our account at the end of the night, but they called to let me know they realized the mistake and apologized for it! You don’t get that kind of service from the chain pizzerias! Thank you Athens

This is a delicious local pizza shop. They will always get my business when I’m craving pizza. They never disappoint when I order them. When I get it delivered, it’s still hot. Their sauce is flavorful and their not stingy on the toppings. Be sure to also order their wings and cheesy bread as a side. I’ve gotten some of their desserts before which hit the spot for when you want something sweet after you enjoy the food.

This is a huge disappointment. I love Athens and have gotten many pies from here. All quality. First time I’ve ever gotten a bad pizza. The dough was totally raw and undercooked and the pizza was terribly soggy. Hopefully this was a fluke. But it was a huge disappointment.

I threw both pizzas away , after knowing NIck for a bit over 30 yrs I can’t believe he would let this Slid.but they did. I told Maria I would give the first pizza back but she said they couldn’t take it but then she said well you didn’t give it back, I offered to give it back then was told Well You didn’t give t back.. The quality of your food has not been great for a few months now or last few times it has been order. It is not nearly as good as it used to be. Ordered a pepperoni lg about 2 weeks ago and again, it just fell short and the garlic parm wings were not as good either. You can not tell me you haven’t changed your dough recipe or have now started to order a cheaper premade crusts.They have no flavor, there’s no salt and they just aren’t the same at all. The sauce isn’t as good and overall ingredients just don’t seem as fresh. Come on Athens, get back to putting the love back in your pies!

Athens Pizza never fails to hit the spot! Their service is spectacular. You can’t ever go wrong with their pizzas, and the wings (extra crispy) are incredibly yummy. The cheesecakes don’t miss either.

I just ordered for the first time tonight. The quoted time was good and the pizza came before my timer went off. The driver was very polite.
Now, the pizza is delicious. I was wondering how hot it would still be in 24 degrees. It’s hotter than any other chain pizza spots pizzas arrive.
I got the pig out pizza with a garlic bread crust.
I added Parm and red pepper flakes to it.
You will be very satisfied.
