My husband and I were traveling through this town and stopped by Doc’s Icehouse. The environment was okay to watch a football game. It was a Monday night and they had a raffle going on that happens every Monday night. The prize was up to 11,000 or a little more. We decided to buy some tickets and pay $20 for five. It was 8 o’clock, and the raffle was to be drawn. Lord and behold, the raffle ticket was picked, and what a coincidence, It was a ticket that belonged to the owner of the bar. Not to anyone’s surprised she won the $11,000 that she has taken from her clients. This left a bad taste in my mouth and it’s very heartbreaking for this small town to go to this small bar and have the owner of this bar rip off their clients in this matter. Do not waste your money here!

My family and I come through Franklin quite often during hunting season because our deer lease is close by. We decided to stop by here to get a bite to eat on a Friday evening. We walked in and there were only a couple tables occupied and one person at the bar. We waited to be seated at a table but after waiting for 5 mins we just decided to seat ourselves. We sat down and waited for 20 mins and no one greeted us or came to our table. The frustrating part was one of the servers walked by our table 3 times in order to take food to the table next to us and nothing was said to us at all. We were highly disappointed. Need friendlier staff or add more staff. Maybe we’ll try again one day.

Doc’s Icehouse is a unique blend of old town country bar, and small town Burger joint wrapped into one. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu had a lot of options for food. The double meat burger feeds at least two people, and the meat was delicious. The bar doesnt have beer on tap, but has plenty of liquor and bottled beer to to wet your whistle.
Enjoy that iconic small town feel, while watching your choice of sports on the many t.v.s, engrossed in conversation with your group, or making new friends.
Either way Doc,s Icehouse is a must stop whileTX. Or passing through Franklin, Tx.

Passing through town, hoping to get a great local burger. Did not disappoint! Biggest double burger if ever been served at a restaurant. Fries were great too

I asked for a specific bacon, jalapeno, pepper jack burger. 2 patties made identical with no bun and plain… (no veg or condiments) This is what i got… The order was PERFECT. They pass my test. Miss Macy was behind the bar, she kept me from asking her for a refill as, she would ask me before I was ready. A great place to come and eat as you pass through. Decent hotel across the street.

Nice little hidden spot if one is not a local and already knows. Had the club sandwich, honey had the bullrider burger with is a burger but also loaded with quest and tots. Best sweet tea I’ve had at any place other than my own home in a long time. Strong and sweet, perfect. Atmosphere is a typical clean well kept original bar, w pool table seating and also some outdoor seating. Our server was very polite

We stumbled across Docs icehouse and went in for supper and a drink. I had a cheese burger and fries and my husband had a patty melt and fries. Both came out fresh, hot and really good. The girl behind the bar and the cook were both really friendly. Treated us like we was a regular. Will definitely be going back.

Delicious food and friendly service! There’s a pool table and a dart board, too. My family really enjoyed the tater tots and said they taste homemade. My father in law loved his patty melt, my mother in law really liked her BLT, and my husband and I thought our club sandwich was yummy. No complaints from any of us!
