I don’t know why people put many bad reviews of this place, but I like this place. Their beef burger is delicious. Don’t forget to try their onion rings. Cheese fries wasn’t bad too . Yes, most of the time they are rushed and super occupied, specially on weekends, but name a good food place that isn’t. Whenever we go to Navy Pier, we don’t miss this place. A big bonus is their meat is halal. Parking is a problem on weekends; try the west or east garage.

Not sure why this place has a low rating. Smash burgers are definitely above average. Patties are juicy and flavourful. All meats are 100% Zabiha Halal. If you’re looking for delicious smash burgers at Navy Pier, make sure to check this place out.

Double burger was saucy and really good. The patty was really delicious. Wait time was 15-20 mins on a weekday. A bit pricey for the portion ($19 for the meal – burger, fries and a drink). We ordered at the kiosk and the food was ready relatively quickly. Amole seating space in the area but depends on the day/time you visit.

The sauce was similar to that of In-N-Out. I found it a tad too sweet and too much, but my boyfriend enjoyed it. I liked the smashed burgers, and the seasoning was great. The fries were also crispy and nicely salted, though some may find them too salty.

Really good burger, better than most other burgers I’ve had for this price. The seating around wasn’t amazing but there was enough. I thought the prices were a little pricey but still reasonable, the portion of fries was pretty large.

Burger was bomb, fries were great too. Onion rings also slapped but really spicy. No joke on the ghost pepper. I’ll probably get a side of the sauce to dip my onions rings in next time. Also probably gonna get light sauce on the burger

Disappointing Experience at Salt Burger – Navy Pier
We visited Salt Burger at Navy Pier on 10/08/2024 at 7:50 PM, well before their listed closing time of 8:50 PM (as confirmed on Google). Unfortunately, our experience was nothing short of frustrating.
Despite arriving early, we were met with a lack of courtesy from the staff, particularly an employee named Sam, who showed no respect or consideration toward us. His attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, which really soured the visit. The service felt rushed, and it was clear they were more interested in closing up than providing quality service.
Given the prime location at Navy Pier, we expected much better. It’s a shame that such a nice spot was overshadowed by poor service and a lack of respect for customers. We won’t be returning.

My new favorite “fast food” burger! Was exploring the Navy Pier eateries and was intrigued by SALT Halal Burgers. I’ve never seen a halal burger joint, so I decided to try it out! Placed my family’s order via the kiosk and our 4 burgers and fries were ready in about 5 minutes! Hot, fresh, and combo of flavor and textures was perfection! Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, grilled onions, cheese and SALT sauce….mmmmhmmm. I wish they were a chain, but alas, I guess it’s just a treat for Chicago natives and visitors 😉

They Made our food wrong. I ordered two burgers, Fries and 1 drink. The fries were not cooked at all. The Burgers did not follow the topping choices that I made at the kiosk. I chose Dine In however I was given my food as carry out. The Food was very poor. How hard is it to follow a ticket and put the correct toppings on my burgers. I was extremely upset about the Uncooked fries. When I went to complain about the fries. I was told I would need to reorder the fries if I want them cooked extra.

I was excited to try the restaurant because it claimed it was halal. When I asked the worker about if it was halal, he said yes. I then asked if there’s a certificate to confirm, he replied with: “you either trust me or you don’t”. I was honestly shocked by his response, not only was it useless but also why wouldn’t a halal restaurant have a certificate if it was actually halal? We then thought we should just ignore the guy and see what the menu has to offer, so we asked the lady that works there. She was also rude and said “we’re muslim and we eat it”, as if that was enough of a reason to eat the food. Overall, the service was bad and I would have appreciated better treatment to try the place out.
