We came to The 19th Hole for dinner after hiking at Pinnacles National Park. The place was busy, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes to be seated. Once we finally got a table, the service was slow, and the food took quite a while to come out.
We tried the fried shrimp, Caesar salad, and a steak. The food was fine overall — nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. Portions were decent, and the price was reasonable for what we got. Still, after a long day on the trail, we were hoping for a quicker and more satisfying meal.
It’s an okay option if you’re already in the area and don’t mind waiting, but it’s not a place we’d go out of our way to visit again.

We stopped in on a Friday evening with a party of five (plus a little one), and if there’s one takeaway for first-time visitors, it’s that timing matters. We arrived just before 5:00 PM and were seated within a couple of minutes—very likely grabbing one of the last available tables before the dinner rush kicked in. Within minutes the place was full.
Our server greeted us in under five minutes, which was perfectly reasonable considering how quickly the dining room filled up. Service remained steady throughout the meal despite the crowd, and the kitchen did a solid job keeping orders moving. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time for a busy Friday night.
The portions were generous, everything came out hot, and the flavors were satisfying across the table. The rustic atmosphere adds to the charm and makes it a comfortable place to settle in for a casual meal.
Overall, it was a smooth experience with good food, solid service, and an inviting setting. Pro tip: arrive a little before the rush if you want to minimize your wait. Based on this visit, I’d gladly come back.

Classic and historic saloon. Burgers were classic juicy patties and absolutely delicious. Guy next to me had a steak that looked to die for! Had about 6 beers on tap, couple of wines, wall of whiskey, and $3 cans of beer

Steak was slightly overcooked, ordered rare, but was delicious non the less. Calamari was also delicious. Drinks were stiff, old fashioned.

This place is a must eat. We ate there the first time after hiking Pinnacles national park in July 2018 and thought the food just tasted better because we were hungry and burnt out. But we have returned every single time were near the Monterey/Pinnacles area and it’s just as amazing. By far the best steaks, to the point my children and parents talk about it from the Eastern Coast and recommend it to friends visiting nearby. We are seasoned travelers and this by far was some of the beat steak we’ve had hands down. We’re planning our next trip back east around whether we can return to 19th Hole or not. Try it, the beef won’t disappoint

For me, I laughed for a long time at the name of meaning with a very interesting story and sat at the bar and ate local IPA beer and wing &chips.
The interior of the restaurant was interesting and the staff was friendly. It always seems like a crowded time. If you want to eat quietly, it’s better to avoid the peak time. There’s a restaurant on the other side, so take the seat there !

The BEST fries I’ve ever had without doubt. They were perfect. The atmosphere was super cool, a real and historic saloon. Big portion sizes and really good food.

Fun atmosphere. Friendly wait staff. Busy place so wait a bit for food. We had tritip steak and it was cooked perfectly but the edges were gristle and tough to chew. Side salad and meal sides were nothing special.

A must try stop. Meat is locally sourced. Service was awesome and most importantly the food was amazing. We tried the onion rings and jalapeño poppers, and those were delish as well.
