Brother and dad ate here, they said it was some of the best grouper they had. The tartar sauce was great too. The serving size was quite small for the price, especially compared to the sandwich I got from the chicken donut place next door. Unfortunately they were too busy to accommodate a shellfish allergy, but I get that. It’s a small unit.
The rest of this review is mostly for the owner. I explained I have a shellfish allergy and had asked if the fried food was all done in the same fryer. He said yes, so I said ok I’ll just get something from the grill. At that point he could have said that even the grill would not be cleaned between meals to accommodate the allergy, but instead he let me order a grilled sandwich. My brother mentioned that he saw another order of food being cooked on the grill, all together, and I went to double check if the grill would be cleaned to accommodate. Initially I was told yes, it will just take a little bit longer, and then was told no, they are too busy (understandable). I did get a refund, but I wish it would have been more clear from the start for sure.

Some of the best shrimp I’ve ever had! This place is extremely highly rated and it is no telling why. The prices are a bit high, but it’s fresh, and it’s delicious, so I’m not going to complain. Definitely check this spot out if you go to Tampa. There’s lots of little shops and other food available too!

Casual walk-up restaurant in a shipping container at Sparkman Wharf. The blackened grouper sandwich is probably the best I’ve ever had. Truly amazing. The fries were wonderful and I don’t even like fries.

This place is in Sparkman Wharf area. I went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and the crowd was just starting to build. This is a trendy entertainment area where the “cool kids” hang out. I had the Nashville Hot Grouper sandwhich with hush puppies. The sandwich had great flavor and not too spicy. Was it worth it to upgrade to the grouper (instead of chicken or cod)? Yes, but because the grouper was very tender and not fishy. Hush puppies were solid. Was it worth the price? Yes, as a splurge but it would break the budget to pay this amount for a sandwich on a regular basis.

What a great stop for a quick bite to eat!! I ordered the blackened shrimp po’boy, and it was extremely good! The fries were fresh and crispy, and perfectly seasoned, which not very many places can get right. Did not enjoy the drink, but that is not on them, it’s just not to my taste. Overall, would absolutely come back to try more menu items!

Popped by for a business meeting and ordered the blackened shrimp po boy and fries. Loved the crispy thin fries. Everything was fresh in the sandwich and the remoulade made it even better. I would’ve liked some fresh lemon to squeeze with it. Portion size was very good. It was a meal we could split! Service was friendly. Will be back someday!

Awful. I paid $45!! For a shrimp basket and a crab cake basket..what makes me angry is no matter how nice you are to the staff you get ATTITUDE…the shrimp basket had 5-6 TINY shrimp (like the smallest frozen shrimp from the freezer section in Publix) 5-6! $20! The fries were SO SALTY we couldn’t eat them and when we mentioned they were too salty they closed the window. The crab cake was large but did not taste good overall I wouldn’t have reviewed if I didn’t get the attitude. But it’s NOT worth $10 let alone $45 for those two small gross baskets.

There is plenty of parking for the outdoor eatery. There are no sit down tables for the outdoor vendor. I am assuming they have 3 stand up tables. They are very patient to answer questions. The food was super tasty. The fish and chips and the crab cakes are yummy.

Got the Hot Nashville Hot Sandwhich (Grouper) and also the Hot Tossed Shrimp. So much flavor, spice level was just right and the skinny fries were delicious!
