Lovely Bistrot located directly next to the antique Amphitheatre so sitting outside the view was amazing! We had the bruschetta and this was probably the best (and most special) Bruschetta I ever had.

An unexpectedly exceptional lunch! We stopped in for a casual bite and were completely wowed. The salads were some of the best I’ve ever had—beautifully presented with fresh produce and edible flowers from their garden. The location is unbeatable, with views overlooking the Roman amphitheater, and the service was just as impressive—our waiter was warm, genuine, and incredibly accommodating. A true hidden gem made with heart in every detail. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing and the service as well. We had a great time.
Every bite of the food tasted different because of the different cheese. They use organic and local food and you really taste it.

Small restaurant with the best view over the Arènes. Service is great and chef uses real ingredients to cook. The ‘Croque Monsieur’ with 6 different cheeses was simply amazing. Highly recommended.

Right next to the beautiful Amphitheatre in Arles. You have to wait quiet awhile before the food arrives but it’s totally worth it. Delicious dishes, friendly waiters. Would recommend the ratatouille ;))

This is a lovely spot. The waiter was very friendly and polite. They approached us speaking French but informed us of what language they spoke rather than assuming we’d like to speak English. This place has amazing sandwiches and we simply chose what meat (one with chicken and one with chorizo) and agreed to all the other salads. There was around three different cheese and you can tell the salad was fresh!
On top of that it has an amazing view of the Amphitheater!

We’ve eaten here twice in the past two days – the food is delicious (especially the ratatouille) and the chef’s use of herbs and edible flowers to garnish everything is nothing short of art! Don’t come in a hurry as it does take awhile but they’re so friendly & kind (even to non-French speakers), the food is amazing, and the view of the Arena is perfect!

This place is good if you want to waste 2 hours to get a simple sandwich while waiting in the hot sun.

Absolutely skip! No umbrellas for shade. I went and no lunch at 12, starts at 12:15 pm. So I went two times.

One waiter overworked. The restaurant had 5 tables. Even after talking to waiter he said wait. After 30+ minutes and no order taken. I leave. The heat in the sun in the summer is too much.

The negative reviews are right. You are on vacation. Why wait for 2 hours for food in the sun? No umbrellas!

No trip to Arles is complete without eating at Hugo’s café. The food is excellent. The sandwiches made our day, prepared with love, and made from the freshest and highest quality ingredients. And the house made cake was a dream. Everything was so very delicious. We returned the next day for lunch again, knowing just how great our experience would be. Merci Hugo!

Don’t walk by .. After an amazing visit to the Collosium & Roman theatre on a sunny December day we were looking for lunch. This was a spectacular choice, the locals enthusiastically made suggestions and Hugo served them up with flair. The soup the sandwiches, the wines all delicious and the dessert made by Hugo’s wife was somthing not to be missed – a mixture of veggies, nuts and fruit under a shortbread crust – apparently a Breton specialty.
