This is the second time we ordered menudo and both times it tasted old or left out for long. The meat looked like this. They also gave us one less tortilla than what they provide with. Be careful when eating here.

Had great pozole rojo – I made a mistake and got the large. The mistake was not in ordering the large, but in attempting to fit all of the large in me. Worth it.
Lots of sauces to try in their little self serve salsa bar with chips.

I’ve gone here twice. The first time I got the “Asada Fries” and loved them. The second time I got the “bistec ranchero” and I loved that as well! Needless to say, I haven’t gotten disappointed. I would totally recommend coming here and the atmosphere.

You know when I see a menu item called the gigante burrito, I have no choice but to purchase said menu item, I was not disappointed It was nearly four times the size of my friends breakfast burrito and delicious. I got about 3/4 of it down before needing to pack it up into a takeout box. And there was still significantly enough left to have dinner when I got home later.

This place has a really nice atmosphere, and the service was excellent. The woman at the counter was incredibly patient with me while I ordered, and I honestly can’t say enough about how great the service was.
That said, there are a couple of downsides. The inside doesn’t have AC, but they did have a swamp fan running, which gave me enough relief. My real issue, though, was with the carne asada fries. I’m a huge fan of these, but the way they’re made here just didn’t work for me. The crinkle-cut fries and everything else was under-seasoned—especially the meat. It tasted like no seasoning or marination went into it at all—where’s the love?? Without the salsa, pico, cheese, and sour cream, there was nothing bringing flavor to the carne asada itself.
I also made the mistake of ordering mine with black beans, because they put too much, which just added too much starch on top of the fries. That part was on me, but it was still minor compared to how bland the carne asada was. No salt, no cumin, nothing really. I could barely finish half a plate, which is disappointing because I really wanted to enjoy it.
Another ridiculous thing were the price of bottled drinks. $4.50 for one! I can say that probably won’t be coming back here unless they change the way they season their meats, mainly their asada.

EZ Junk Removal Team
Ordered Super Nachos Carnitas and a mixed seafood tostada. Food was delicious. Would prefer salsa bar salsas were labeled to indicate the spiciness.
Will be back next time we are in Yuba City.
