My husband and I ate at this restaurant on our way from Virginia to Austin, TX. What a great stop!
We arrived about 25 minutes before closing time on a Thursday night. The only customers were three local sheriffs who were just leaving as we arrived (always good to see the locals eating at a restaurant). The owner greeted us as we walked in and apologized as they only had a few BBQ items left for the evening–but they were brisket and ribs, which were exactly what we were hoping to order, so we were happy campers.
We ordered the 2-meat plate to share, with the brisket and ribs. The plate comes with two sides, and we ordered the slaw and the potato salad. The slaw was very good and had small pieces of cheese in it, which was surprising. The potato salad was different than any other potato salad that we had tasted, but it was tasty. However, the stars of the show were the brisket and the ribs. Wow–the brisket was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. The ribs were perfectly seasoned and fell off the bone. We also ordered the banana pudding for dessert and it was the BEST banana pudding that we have ever had!
They offer sweet and unsweet tea, coffee, water and soda as drinks.
If you have the chance to visit this restaurant, do not hesitate! You will not be disappointed and you will not go away hungry. We would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for friendly service and fantastic BBQ and banana pudding!

4 of us stopped on our way from Arkansas to Houston. There was only a car or two in the parking lot and it was about 11:15. We ordered and then found a table. All of the sudden all of the workers from different companies showed up for lunch. We then knew that the food was going to be good! We were not disappointed! We all had different meals and everyone raved about their meats and sides! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stop!

I finally managed to eat here. The food was very good. A different take on potato salad, super yummy brisket, sausage, and pork. It was a large serving of everything. I took the banana pudding home to eat….very delish. Limited hours, so call first if you’re making a trek, but worth the miles.

We stopped in on a road trip and we SO grateful we stumbled upon this place! The customer service was incredible and the food was DELICIOUS. Wish we lived nearby so we could go back. Cross your fingers that you get there on a banana pudding night.

First time here today and I’ll be back for the really, really, good brisket. I mean REALLY good. I’m looking forward to the time when this place gets busier and they can stabilize their availability of bbq and their hours. The fb page could be updated daily to reflect their offerings. My son from Florida was here over Tgiving and after checking their hours on fb drove over and they were open but no Q. Bummer. However, the chicken and dumplings that he got instead was delicious. Only offered few selected items..husband ordered special (meatloaf) 2 side items was unavailable. We was made aware of one and give an option on replacement.. however was on aware that vegetable was going to replacement with small side salad no dressing. Until dropping off at table..

This place is like no other! The people are amazing the service is amazing and the food is even better!! Hard to find good meat smoked the right way without pellets. I am a local so I find myself here MULTIPLE times a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
