Absolutely the best southern Buffett I have had. From Tennessee but live in Ohio now. In town to see daughter. Everything was great from the catfish, frog legs, white beans, strawberry cake, to the excellent service.

Well
Should have walked out when they said they had no steak of any kind in a steakhouse..
Then said they don’t do seafood at all anymore
Don’t recommend
First Don’t call yourself a steakhouse
The pork chops were mediocre at best

The Gainey was wonderful! I had the buffet and they had catfish, fried chicken, hamburger steaks in brown gravy, and all the fixings. Everything was tasty and excellently prepared. On the salad bar, everything was fresh and delicious. I’m sorry to say that the dessert bar, looked wonderful, but I wasn’t able to try it. I was stuffed, maybe next time I will be able to control myself!

Service accounts for most of the stars. Our waitress was so friendly and kind hearted. She treated my special needs daughter to a special slice of cake with a birthday candle in it because my daughter wanted to have a party. The fried chicken breast was the best chicken I’ve had in a very long time. Juicy, hot and flavorful but not too salty. Fish and hush puppies were good. The white beans were awesome. Some of the veggies were from a can but that’s to be expected. They have a nice variety of cakes.

So many different restaurants, although basically the same, have occupied this space over the years. It almost seems that the name has changed more than the food, the employees, or come to think of it, even the managers and owners.

That being the case however, doesn’t negate the never quite seasoned enough fare served on this same buffet table that’s nearing its final years.

The soft-serve ice cream machine outlived at least two or three name changes that I can recall. That’s really about all that needs to be said about this place. Nothing seems to last here for too many years except for the same bland food, the same workers, and come to think of it, the managers and even the owners.

After the old ice cream machine broke down for good, it doesn’t really matter too much any more. After all, that’s what I miss the most about that place.

GOOD home cooking!—doesn’t taste like the usual restaurant food. Decorated so beautifully. Background music in the restaurant was so good I felt like getting up and dancing!—-it was my era music! FAST and FRIENDLY service. The buffet looked delicious, although I did not partake. Free ice cream!

Had Country’s Benedict with bacon on the side. Two biscuits halved with egg (over easy) on each half, then covered with white gravy. Biscuits were soft and moist, eggs had a buttery taste, the gravy was delicious and the bacon was tender, all 4 pcs, just the way I like it. I HIGHLY recommend this great breakfast place. They also have a Buffet if you want and offer chocolate gravy on it.

I am 45 years old and this is the worst restaurant I have ever been in. Every time we would ask them if they had something they told us they didn’t have it. For example, they didn’t have any rolls or biscuits. The only appetizers they had was fried pickles and fried mushrooms. On the buffet, the food they claimed was mash potatoes looked like water down gravy. The booth I sat in had what looked like to be ranch dressing on the seat, which I had to wipe off myself. The floor had food on it. The fried chicken was dried out. One of the waitresses was talking on her cell phone while working at the buffet and was talking on her cell phone again while at the cash register. I will never go back to this restaurant. My husband was taking me out to dinner for my birthday and I was sadly disappointed with the food and service I received.

For as good of a selection they had on their buffet, it was very decently priced. It provided your typical southern dinner options such as chicken and dumplings, chicken fried steak, green beans, and a delicious assortment of deserts (I recommend the peach cobbler with a little bit of vanilla ice cream.) Apart from the food, the staff was attentive and polite. It was an excellent experience for sure.
