Had a 10/10 experience here. The sushi chefs were super friendly and made the whole meal feel personal. The uni was the absolute highlight—fresh, rich, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. Everything on the plate tasted high-quality, and for the price, it was surprisingly affordable for the level of craftsmanship. Definitely coming back.

We stopped by this gem on the way into the city. We had several different sushi rolls/maki along with salad and appetizers. The sushi rolls were good. I especially like their tempura which remind me of what we had in Japan. It was crunchy without being oily.

Been coming here for years and always get good service and food today I tried the Wasabi salmon which was phenomenal, a flavor bomb of joy.
I typically get the fuji mountain roll or the bento boxes which are all really good. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything bad from this place.
The only con is this spot is kinda small so it will fill up fast on weekends or during dinner / lunch hours.
Overall my favorite sushi spot in illinois 10/10 highly recommended

I don’t know why I did not review this place sooner! It is by far my favorite restaurant in the Oak Park area, and one of the only ones I am a regular!
The coziness of the place is charming, only a few tables plus the sushi bar, and then the food… another level. There is no better sushi in the area and I would debate if there’s better sushi even in Chicago. Ingredients are fresh and quality is insane. On top of it, service is awesome and they always have a smile and are ready for you, but without rushing you at the same time.
Simply amazing! I’ll keep coming forever I guess

Sen Sushi is a tad hidden off of Oak Park Street near Addis’ Cafe. It’s a clean no frills place that offers good amount of specialty rolls and great Sashimi and Nigiri sets.
They don’t take reservations and it is small, but seems like turn over is pretty fast. Definitely a place to try if you want decent sushi this side of the burbs.

AMAZING! A cozy, casual hole in the wall with a breath of modest elegance. All dishes are made fresh to order. Friendly staff make you feel welcome. For those of you with a love for sushi, I highly recommend SEN Sushi Bar. If you are feeling adventurous, then I recommend requesting Chef’s choice. We did, and he prepared us a dish not available on their otherwise robust menu.
