Tony and Tina (the owners) are FANTASTIC. The meatball sub and cheese steak sub were both so good. We pulled off the highway and ended up here accidentally and we are SO happy we did. Don’t let the quiet strip mall fool you—this is a great restaurant. You can order at the counter to go or eat in the dining room. YUM.

My husband and I decided to try Rocky’s and had a mixed experience. We ordered two drinks (self-serve soda), two French fries that tasted great, and two cheesesteaks that were absolutely huge—definitely more than we could eat. The two staff members who helped us were extremely friendly, which we really appreciated.
The location has a small parking lot and was mostly clean. The bathroom, however, was disappointing. The space felt uninviting with dark walls and limited room, the steps leading up to it needed cleaning, and they were out of hand towels. The toilet rocked as if it wasn’t secure, which was concerning.
Ordering is done at the counter, and then the food is brought to your table. Nobody comes back to check on you, so the experience is more like a fast-food setup (similar to Hardee’s or McDonald’s) rather than a sit-down restaurant. Our biggest issue was the wait time—it took about 45 minutes for our order, even though the dining room wasn’t full. Maybe they had a lot of online or phone orders, but we weren’t expecting such a long wait for a relatively small order
Overall, the food was good and the staff friendly, but between the long wait time, the bathroom issues, and the overall feel of the place, we’ve decided we won’t be returning.

Great food and service on a Saturday evening. We were a group of 6. Seated immediately and given a chance to order drinks and look over the menu.
4 appetizers cane out within minutes. Hot and perfectly fried onion rings and mozz sticks.
The spaghetti meatballs and sausage special was fantastic! Huge portion and great flavor. The cheese steaks were stuffed with meat and whatever topping you wanted. Great food, service, and good company.

My hubby and I stopped here on a whim on our way home from sunny FL and we had a hankering for pizza. This really hit the spot!! Very very good!! We practically polished the whole pie, taking one slice home.

Ordered 2 chicken cheesesteaks about a month ago and they were phenomenal. They used nice thick cut chicken fillets and they were seasoned perfect. Just got 2 and they were very simple orders. Just cheese and grilled onions. We were given 2, 80 percent breading, chicken tenders sandwiches. When I called them the owner proceeded to tell me that how they’ve always done it. They offered to remake them with grilled chicken for us but I have to Uber right now so I wouldn’t be able to get them. Just saying that if youre going to order a chicken cheesesteak from here. My family loves pizza. We have tried many pizza places, but this one is the absolute best!
We go out of our way to drive to Thurmont for Thurmont Rocky’s Pizza. All the ingredients are fresh, and tasty. I always order extra cheese as one of the ingredients on pizza, and they definitely give you extra cheese. A lot of pizza places slight you on extra cheese, but not Thurmont Rocky’s…they actually listen! The clean restaurant, and very friendly employees are a bonus.
I HIGHLY recommend the Thurmont Rocky’s Pizza. You won’t be disappointed! They know how to make the best pizza, hands down!

$5 for two slices and a drink is hard to beat. The slices were very doughy but I liked that and the cheese was tasty. Also got them within 4 minutes. The atmosphere was old school pizza shop. Would definitely stop by again if I was in the area.

I am only giving more than one star in some of the areas because people who work there are nice. But I found a hair in my pizza and had to throw the rest of it away. Yikes! Never again. I will just stick with Pizza Hut in Emmitsburg.
