Went in with the kids and got a couple of cheese steak sandwiches. My only request for next time would be to mix the peppers at the end with the meat instead of on top of it. Being on top didn’t offer the same bite throughout the sandwich.
The onion rings are bussin, as the kids say. I would go back just for them.

Been wanting to try this place for awhile. I finally go on my lunch and of course it’s closed. But was able to place my order online. Had to get back to work so, I paid for lunch that I can’t have and cannot contact the restaurant to give me a refund Becuase nobody picked up the phone. I am extremely disappointed and will probably not come back.

I really wanted to like this place, but the food missed the mark. Everything was freshly made, but it had absolutely no flavor. The cheesesteak was one of the most bland things I’ve ever tasted. The meat had no seasoning, the cheese added nothing, and the fries were hot and greasy with no seasoning. Nothing had any real taste. I left disappointed and would not recommend it based on my experience.

The Cheese Steak Shop is an authentic Philly cheesesteak experience. The cheesesteaks were steaming hot, savory and flavorful. The sandwiches are filled with generous helpings of meat, melted American cheese and a combination of sweet and hot peppers in an Amoroso roll. The food was delicious, but I couldn’t get over how grungy the restaurant felt. All the tables were grimy, the floor was sticky, the one bathroom available was dirty and all the walls were greasy and had questionable items stuck to them. I would recommend The Cheese Steak Shop do a deep cleaning in their restaurant, since no one wants to eat a meal in a grungy restaurant.

My husband and I ordered takeout for one regular Western, and one chillin king sandwich with fries. The regular sandwich is maybe 4in at most and the king is the size of most regular sandwiches. They were both delicious, just would recommend ordering king size
