We stopped in for lunch. The food and service were great! It’s been days and my son is still talking about how great his burger was. We will definitely be back one day.

Marty Byrde’s is hands down one of the best spots I’ve been to! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was just as impressive: fast, friendly, and welcoming the entire time. You can really tell they care about creating a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone visiting the area!

We have been to Marty Byrde’s a few different times, the first time being last summer. It was great the first few times. The staff, food/drinks, and prices were great and the outdoor patio had an awesome view. This afternoon was a very different experience. The food was the absolute worst food I’ve ever paid for. We ordered a beer, a cocktail, fish and chips, and chicken strips, all totally just shy of $50. We were beside ourselves when we got one microwaved fish fillet with fries and one chicken patty cut into strips… definitely not more than $15 worth of food. The worst part of it all is the bathrooms. The bathroom didn’t appear to have a soap dispenser anywhere. Not totally sure if ownership changed but it takes the cake on worst restaurant experiences.

If you’re anywhere near Lake of the Ozarks and you don’t stop at Marty Byrde’s, you’re missing out on something real.

From the second we walked in, it was nothing but energy — lights low, bass thumping, and a crowd that actually knows how to have fun without judgment. You’ve got locals, tourists, boat crews, lake girls, vets, newcomers — all dancing like they’ve known each other for years.

The staff was cool, the drinks hit just right, and the DJ knew what he was doing. Transitions were tight, and people were losing their minds when the drops hit. It’s like a floating Vegas night dropped into the Ozarks with better people and a flag flying in the background.

What makes it special isn’t just the music or the lights — it’s the vibe. There’s no ego here. People high-fiving strangers, dancing like it’s their last summer, and laughing like they’ve been free forever.

If you’re looking for a polished “stand-around-and-sip” place, this ain’t it.
But if you want real connection, wild energy, and a night you’ll be talking about for weeks?
Welcome to Marty Byrde’s.

Typical dive bar – low prices on food and drinks. I had Darlene’s killer lemonade (it was delicious!) and my boyfriend had a coors light. We went on a Wednesday (all day happy hour on Wednesday) we also had some nachos and cherry cobbler.

Our server was very friendly and always checking to make sure we were okay. Very fast service.

I just stopped here on .y way out of the ozarks RIGHT before the main season, so it was just bad weather. They were really nice. I sat outside with my small dog in my bag because they only had barstools with no backs so I didn’t want to try to set her up on a blanket on a tall stool.

Cheeseburger was your average restaurant $10 cheeseburger and fries. Some of the graffiti ticked me off , but who knows how the average person here actally feels. I didn’t get to go inside because of my dog but I see they have an ironic laundry machine to take pictures with. It’s a good theme and you can see the lake from the outside.

Bartender was cool but not amazing. Random people I talked to on the way out were awesome.

This was a great little place for afternoon half-price food. We had some yummy spinach artichoke dip and street corn dip served with lots of chips and flat fries. The bartender, Zach, and the owners were kind, friendly, and attentive. Atmosphere was a typical well-used bar feel.

Ya gotta luv it. Named after a character in one of Netflix’s most popular series, Marty Byrde’s is a bar and grill nestled on a small outlet bend of the Lake of the Ozarks. Interesting burger and sides menu. Food is ok. The nostalgia if the name makes it better. If you are a fan of the series, it is just being in the place. Spoiler Alert, the series is about the area, but is not filled anywhere near. Either way, the bar is pretty cool 5o visit. More of a thrill for fans. If you visit the place and don’t like it, it is on a pretty cool strip of other bars and restaurants within walking distance.

We went for the Ozark experience. I had fish n chips and it was tasty for pollock. The flat fries were delicious. Mr had the smashburger and really enjoyed it. Not many options to choose from and a lil overpriced for what you get but it was good nonetheless. The Ozark quotes on the wall were great!
