Hands-down, the best albóndiga soup! The broth is rich and flavorful, packed with perfectly seasoned meatballs, tender veggies, and just the right amount of spice. You can tell it’s made with care almost takes me back home. tastes like something straight from my moms kitchen.
Comforting, filling, and honestly one of the best bowls of soup l’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend if you’re in the area a not so hidden gem! And don’t get me started on the homemade flour tortillas order the quesadilla ! must have! Ring the whole family has a home like feel

My coworker invided me for breakfast. It was my first time at the restaurant. The staff was verry hospitable and attentive. The food had the taste of a family seasoning not industrial. The freshly hand made tortillas was one of the factors that made it more family style.

This place is an oldie but goodie! The flour tortillas are amazing! Authentic made fresh to order right inside the restaurant. The place is old and tables and chairs are due for an update. The servers are friendly but overwhelmed, This place is usually crowded. The food is good and flavorful! We ordered the machaca and menudo. Overall good experience

The place was nice. Food was good with flavor. Salsas are really good with such flavor but nothing spicy for someone who loves eating really spicy foods. I ordered the Tochomorocho but I didn’t know that some plates on display doesn’t come with meat you have to add it on, which is another charge. The drinks were good.

Their alleged spicy salsa is plain liquid. I bought some tortillas to go. Both, Flour/Corn tortillas when cold, turn into hard tostadas. Not recommended. Menudo and Birria are very decent. Too bad they don’t carry a good hot salsa.

This place is highly recommended if you want fresh homemade tortillas and really authentic mexican food, and you don’t have to go to old town or expensive places. It’s a little quaint restaurant in the corner of a plaza, but i’m telling you, it’s delicious. You can order posoli menudo or chiliaquiles, my favorite! There has been a remodel inside, so I added new pictures. It’s still classic and intimate!

This is my place to go for special occasions. Mexican food at its finest. I come here for birthdays and Father’s Day. This place has been here for many years. Excellent place. My fav. Mexican restaurant to eat at. Highly recommend this place. Freshly made tortillas. Don’t forget to tip the tortilla crew. They make fresh tortillas and are fantastic. This place made it thru the pandemic and that’s impressive. The staff are very nice and professional. The huevos rancheros is my favorite plate. The caldo is also very good here. Totally recommend this eatery for the whole family. I believe this is a family owed business. You don’t need reservations here. Very clean place. Mexico atmosphere. No seating area outside. It would be a lot better if it had outside seating but there no room outside. It’s a small area outside. It’s in a great location in National City. A bit crowded on weekends between 11-12pm. I recommend before or after. The TV’s are always playing good Mexican concerts and videos. Not to load to disturb your meal with family and friends. It’s in typical strip mall. Almost every plate comes with moist rice and cheesy mashed pintos and, of course, tortillas. Very affordable for the whole family or just you and a friend. Right from Mom’s kitchen. We know that you will savor and enjoy every recipes, brought to you from the staff and contemporary current Mexican cooking technics . Come on in, enjoy lunch or dinner in their festive large dining room. Either way you’re in for the ultimate taste of Mexico style! You won’t be disappointed.

On this episode of The Taco Whisperer:

Dave ordered the Carne Asada Sopes. Very good flavor! The sopes were perfectly, slightly crispy on the bottom and cooked to perfection. The rice was delicious and the refried beans were very tasty. The chips were warm and delightfully crunchy. The waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. This restaurant, the food, and the staff are Veddy Guud!
