Market Street Grill in Wabash is a beloved local institution, celebrated for its made-from-scratch American cuisine and an atmosphere that is both casual and conversational. Located in a historic downtown building, it has served as a community gathering spot for decades, creating a memorable dining experience.
The menu is a masterful blend of comfort and quality, with patrons consistently praising its award-winning dishes. Must-try favorites include the savory steaks (often voted best in the county), the famous BLT Soup, and the rich, homestyle Cajun Fettuccine Alfredo. Signature entrées like the “Drunk’in Chicken” and “Steak on a Stick” showcase the kitchen’s creative flair and dedication to fresh ingredients.
Beyond the excellent food, the grill is renowned for its inviting atmosphere and genuinely attentive service, making every guest feel like family. Whether you’re enjoying a craft brew at the pub-style bar or indulging in a slice of the legendary peanut butter pie, Market Street Grill offers a delicious, unpretentious, and consistently satisfying destination for lunch or dinner.

Always great service. The wait staff and Marcy deliver a top experience each time I visit. Enjoy the people and atmosphere! We had reservations and were sat in no time. Greeted immediately and the server broke down the specials and recommended a few things for us. Would absolutely recommend stopping in here if you’re in Wabash visiting or need a nice dinner night out.

We met friends from Indy we drove 1-1/2 hrs to meet them half way. I looked at a Google satalitete view and there was a parking lot next door. Showed up at noon and the street had no parking and the lot was full. Turned at the light and went up a large hill to a lot 2 blocks away. Parking rated a 1. Got a table and waited. Our friends took 20 minutes. We ordered the waitress was good. I ordered the lemon chicken with veggies and a side of broccoli cus it said there was a side that came with it. When I received my meal I received a chicken breast a piece of a green leaf and soggy broccoli. My wife had the Asian salad. The brisket was over done. I didn’t get the veggies as noted. We were having a good conversation and the waitress brought the bill. Since we were talking I looked at the total and gave the time grabbed the receipt. When we got home I then looked at the bill. I then saw I was charged for the side that came with the meal but didn’t get the veggies. Here are the pics of the what they say you will get. So parking 0 food the chicken tasted good 4 not getting what was on the menu 0verall an ok meal I give it a 3.

So I have been trying pork tenderloin sandwiches all over the place. Indiana has it locked down! Once again my p.t.s was well seasoned and tender! The onion rings were good as well as the ribeye, and sweet potatoe fries! Great service, a very friendly staff!

I would not rate this as high as it shows on google. The Greek Pork Chops were “ok” a little tough and dry. Didnt really taste any Greek seasoning. The mix on top could have used some seasoning. The espresso martini. Was the worst I have ever had. Just tasted like cheap booze.

My wife and I went out for dinner on Friday night. We haven’t dined in at Market Street for a few years. The service was good, no complaints there.

They made a really good Kentucky Mule, and my wife LOVED her peanut butter pie. We had the shrimp cocktail and neither of us would order that again.

She ordered the filet mignon with blue cheese crumbles and I had the New York strip with the mushroom peppercorn sauce and the house rub. The mushroom peppercorn sauce was more like a mushroom soup and not a sauce, it was very watery. My wife had to ask for steak sauce because her steak was very light on flavor.

I believe we spent $140 plus a tip. We would go back, but order much differently. This is not a high end steakhouse. This might be a good place to gets apps, dessert, and a cocktail.

Atmosphere – 5; Fancy Drinks – 5; Crab Cakes – 5; Alfredo Sauce – 0. My first experience was on my birthday with family and friends. Everything about this place is AMAZING… except that made-to-order Alfredo sauce. It simply tasted like warmed-up heavy whipping cream that quickly absorbed into the pasta and made it dry. I tasted no butter, no parmesean cheese, no garlic. It was the most bland and dry Alfredo sauce I’ve ever had. Next time, I will order those awesome crab cakes, because they beat every crab cake I’ve ever had – even on the coast where it’s fresh! And that key lime martini was truly amazing!

My wife and I stopped into Market Street Grill and left mighty satisfied, which is not something I say lightly. I come from the school of thought that good food ought to be honest, well-handled, and worth the work it took to bring it to the table.

I started with the Brussels sprouts appetizer, and I’ll say this plainly: anyone who thinks Brussels sprouts are still punishment from childhood has not had them prepared like this. Balanced, flavorful, and cooked by someone who understands restraint as much as seasoning.

My steak entrée was solid in the best sense of the word—properly cooked, well rested, and clearly treated with respect somewhere between the grill and the plate. No gimmicks, just good execution.

My wife ordered the coconut shrimp, and hers was the standout of the night. Crisp without being greasy, sweet without being cloying, and paired in a way that showed someone back there knows what they’re doing and didn’t rush it.

All in all, it was a fine meal, thoughtfully prepared. The kind of place where you feel comfortable enjoying good food without needing a lecture about it. We’ll be back, and we won’t wait for a special occasion to do it.

We had a reservation which did us absolutely no good because we couldn’t get our order in time for our concert at the Honeywell. I can’t express just how disappointed I am with Market Street Grill. They didn’t offer us anything other than to box up our food. Don’t go there unless you have hours to spend for your dinner. I expected better from such a nice established place that such be used to Honeywell goers before their shows.

I’ve been going here for well over a decade and I have never been disappointed. Great food, monthly specials and drinks. I recommend getting reservations ahead of time. Also great bar area to enjoy as well.
Steak on the stick is hands down one of my favorite menu dishes. Ribs are also top favorite fall off the bone with amazing flavor, or mahi mahi blackened is also fabulous. Stuffed mushrooms, foot tall onion rings pretty much every appetizer on the menu is amazing. I haven’t had one bad dish off the menu everything is excellent.
Great service and wonderful atmosphere.
A must try !
