Hmmm think of this as what Coqodaq did to fried chickens but for Thai food. I cannot believe a Thai restaurant does not have Thai iced tea, they don’t have Thai iced tea. The alternative, a non alcoholic beet drink was not the best alternative. The foyer with the hostess stand is very chilly, uncomfortable to wait in for your table before the meal and for your jackets after the meal, could be warmer. The pork jowl is great, the garlic crisps were slightly overboard for our taste, wish there was more rice. I highly recommend avoiding the chutoro laab, it’s the worst chutoro I’ve ever had. I could not taste it at all in every bite of the dish. It is overpowered by the other ingredients and was very spicy. Based on the texture of the tuna, I’m inclined to say it does not resemble the fatty, tender texture of chutoro, maybe that’s why it’s heavily masked by the other ingredients. The pandan cake was great, truly an exception everyone should make if they’re watching how much coconut they consume. The khao mun gai was wonderful.

The environment is very busy and social, not really intimate. The tables are fairly tight if you want to see 6 people at any of their booths, and cozy for 5 people. The service was on par with the atmosphere. Gave it a try, but won’t be back.

How does this place not have a Michelin star yet? This was my favorite fine dining experience in New York by far, and we have tried a range of Michelin starred spots (1*, 2*, 3*—for celebrations/special occasions). I don’t know how the politics of the food industry works, maybe some places are better at schmoozing than others, but there have been 1 star tasting menus/restaurants that have been good, but nowhere nearly as impressive or memorable as Bangkok Supper Club’s tasting menu was. Each course was intentional and thoughtfully put together (I wrote more details in captions of photos). I can genuinely say I loved each course and actually remember what it was. Sometimes the experience of a tasting menu can feel like a blur, and we remember maybe one or two things we ate, but here I can clearly recall each one. We also tried a wine pairing and loved each selection. Another note: I noticed tasting menus are shorter in NYC, compared to other cities, which has made me less interested in visiting certain restaurants (like I find myself wondering more frequently in New York, will we walk out hungry?) Bangkok Supper Club’s tasting menu length was perfect, not too short or too long. By far my favorite meal in NYC so far. Award this place a star already!

Everything tasted great! The decor was warm and retro. We ordered the Uni Crab Tartlet, Khao Mun Gai, Hokkaido Scallop Ceviche, Ba Jang Lobster, and Bangkok Gai Yang. For dessert we tried the Sweet Potato Ice Cream and the Pandan Coconut Cake. The dishes were executed very well and the desserts were my personal highlight.

Bangkok Supper Club was an outstanding experience from start to finish. Every dish felt intentional and exciting — each bite was a discovery. From the chu toro and ceviche to the prawn satay and yum khai dao, everything was beautifully balanced and full of flavor.

The mains were just as impressive: rich pork jowl, comforting beef massaman, juicy gai yang, and even the green beans with tofu stood out.

The service was exceptional. The entire staff was attentive and welcoming, and the chef even came to our table to personally explain a few of the dishes, which made the experience feel even more special.

I truly hope to be back soon ♥️✨

I had an incredible dinner at Bangkok Supper Club and can’t stop thinking about it.
The warm welcome from the staff immediately made the experience feel special.
The space is beautifully decorated — modern, cozy, and perfect for a night out.
Every dish was full of bold Thai flavors with a refined touch.
The pork jowl and seabass curry were absolute standouts.
Even the small details, like plating and timing, were spot-on.
The cocktails were balanced and refreshing, not overly sweet.
What impressed me most was how attentive and friendly the service Mint she amazing.
It felt like the team really cared about our experience including Chef max came to touch us table was my mom Birthday night unforgettable.
Easily one of the best Thai restaurants I’ve visited in New York.

This is a very nice, elevated Thai restaurant. The service was exceptional and it was fun watching the kitchen do their thing.

The prawn, chicken wings, pork jowl, and sea bass were good. The grapefruit dish was also good but next time, I’d do a veggie dish instead. The meat was cooked well. None of the proteins were “melt in your mouth” but firm.

They let you bring in a cake and charge you $5/person for plating.

This place is well-known for being notoriously hard to book, which naturally raises expectations. However, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the hype. It wasn’t disappointing, but certainly not memorable enough to justify the buzz. I’d say there’s no need to come purely because of the hype — it’s better to choose based on personal preference.
The space is fairly noisy, more social than intimate. Drinks and desserts stood out more than the food, which was generally safe and inoffensive.

Drinks & Desserts
The cocktails were a highlight. I especially enjoyed the Dirty Pineapple — well-balanced, flavorful, and distinctive. Other drinks were also solid and thoughtfully executed.
Desserts were surprisingly good. The Coconut Panda Cake, featuring a matcha and coconut combination, was light and pleasant, with coconut flakes on top adding a nice textural contrast.

Food Breakdown

UNI AND CRAB TARTLET
A single-bite tartlet with a fairly straightforward flavor profile. Slightly on the salty side, but the spice blend adds an interesting twist. Pleasant, though not particularly impressive.

Small Plates|OCTOPUS (Bangkok Chinatown-style fried octopus)
This was a strong dish and one I’d recommend
The octopus was tender yet pleasantly chewy, aromatic and well cooked. The dipping sauce is the same as the one served with the chicken later on — familiar, but it works well here.

Large Plates|PORK JOWL (Fried pork jowl with garlic rice)
Not a favorite. The fried garlic felt overpowering and somewhat out of place, while the pork itself was rather tough. Overall, quite average and forgettable.

BANGKOK GAI YANG (Char-grilled Thai-style chicken leg)
The best dish of the meal
Well-seasoned with nice smoky notes and very enjoyable, though still not “wow-level” exceptional.

✨ Final Thoughts
A decent dining experience with solid cocktails and desserts, but the food itself plays it safe. Worth visiting if you’re interested in the drinks, but not a must-try destination. Going in with realistic expectations will make the experience much more enjoyable.

Overall, this was a spectacular restaurant, and I thought the food was delicious. Here’s a breakdown of our experience:

Food
The food was excellent, but you should be aware that the portion sizes are definitely on the smaller side. To give you an idea, our party of three shared 3 small plates and 2 main dishes (plus one drink), and the total still came to $410. So yes, it’s definitely pricey.

That said, the highlights from the menu were fantastic:

The Scallop Ceviche was a standout, especially with the spiced watermelon ice, which was a really interesting touch.

The Octopus was cooked perfectly.

The Beef Cheek Curry was my favorite. I enjoyed it much more than the sea bass curry, which, to be honest, I’d probably pass on next time.

Service
The service was just as good as the food. The staff was meticulous, friendly, and really catered to everything we wanted. There was also a wine expert who was incredibly helpful and walked us through the drink menu, which we really appreciated.

AMBIANCE
The restaurant’s design is stunning. A welcoming bar greets you upon entry, drawing your eye to the open kitchen in the back. We were seated with a direct view of the kitchen—honestly, the best seat in the house. You get a front-row seat to all the action, from watching the chefs meticulously craft each dish to the final plating just before it arrives at your table.

Overall, a great experience

I realize that I must’ve passed this place many times and never seen it so I could be so unassuming until you see that beautiful Bangkok supper club sign

Overall, all the food was amazing and I’ll go into detail a little bit on this. Everything was delicious when it comes to drink drinks however drinks when we’re creative but a little sweet however they’re cool. Won’t even came with a side of a row, which is cool.

When a can of food, everything stood strong on its own however, when they came out arm being so in all at the entire table, they died in front of you so many dishes all cohesion, all delicious and all held their own
We got dishes like the fried chicken the curry noodle dish the large fish and I think we had a tartar I wouldn’t be able to spell out any of these dishes, but I did have pictures so please see below

But dessert was also great. I think it was served inside of an actual coconut however, I think the coconut was just ornamental Didn’t really add any flavor or reason in fact, we ordered a second one it didn’t come with the coconut, which was the best part. It was a look.

We love this place and I really enjoyed this meal and it was a meal that my friends also agreed they enjoyed. I would go back here anytime soon because there’s too many Thai places in New York City try but I did like this meal
