Misty’s Malt Shop makes one of the best breakfasts I’ve every had. The bacon was three times thicker than what you’d find in almost anywhere else. Everything was very reasonably priced, servers were fun and great overall, and their menu makes me want to visit more to try out their malts, sandwiches, wings, and other breakfast options. Misty’s is a hidden gem well worth visiting if you are anywhere nearby.

When I was ordering my black raspberry ice cream I noticed a small sign that said Dutch Apple Pie. I love dutch apple pie so I got some of that too, and it turned out to be a great decision. My ice cream was exactly what I hoped for and the pie was an excellent homemade treat. The first was on point and the crust was top notch. If you love dutch apple pie you should get some too. I’ll have to try the food the next time I’m passing though because everyone else was getting sandwiches and burgers while I was there.

We were driving thru and found this place. Nice small town family friendly ice cream shop with full food menu. Staff was friendly, food was good but the amount of flies in the dining area was horrendous! You literally could not keep them off you food while you ate. It was disturbing to say the least. Could not finish and we just left.

Tenderloin was EXCELLENT!
Large, Cracker breaded but not heavy. The meat had a good thickness and the bun was fluffy and didn’t overwhelm the meat and was tastee. Plus it was reasonably priced.

Misty’s is the kind of Mom and Pop food stand you hope you stumble upon and let me just say, I am so glad I did. The burger was cooked fresh and really good but the shake, oh my gosh THE SHAKE.
It was a boiling hot day when I got the chocolate shake and nearly went it was THAT good. I got a chocolate shake and it was creamy, cold, and sweet. But not sickenly sweet, you know? Just right.
This place is worth the stop and the time it takes to prepare your food fresh. Pop in and get a shake. Try a burger while you’re at it. Let’s do our collective part to keep little food stands like this around. We need more Mom and Pop places like Misty’s.

We were traveling from our home in Florida seeking a good Iowa pork tenderloin sandwich. We happened on Misty’s by chance and finally got our sandwiches. Simply put, they were the best we ever had. We also tried one of their specialties, black raspberry, soft serve ice cream. It was incredible!!!
We try to get back to Iowa every year.

Local place with limited parking. Cash only accepted. Fantastic tenderloins sandwiches that are huge. Ice cream is also very good. Lots of different choices. Great little place to eat if you are in the area. Ate here several times while in town on business

I normally like mom and pop shops, so a quick stop sounded good… Ice cream fast and ok ordered a ( 1 sandwich 1 fry,) meal. Over 45 minutes waited on it and noticed three groups behind us got there food so asked which took 5 minutes standing at register to get a chance to ask… To see r order under a heat lamp for who knows how long.. it was cold and disappointing.. and no restrooms as we stood there waiting. Netflix stop literally became an hour away.
