Flavor wise it’s both good and bad. The steak was a little dry for my taste but I enjoyed my meal. Alot of the food items are very spicy. Price wise for the vual of the food I think is a little over but it’s alright. Would I come more often? Probably not but it’s not the worse. Overall the service was good but the food is sub par! But that’s not a bad thing!

Delicious…enchiladas fish, fajita veggies etc… affordable price & big quantities! Feel comfortable, the owner (i think) served his costumers (“my friend” as he said to my family) and take care of everything, we heard him sing☺️hopefully next time..more songs

I haven’t been to this restaurant in a long time.. I had ordered two tacos they were very stale, no longer fresh, and pleasant to eat. The beans are bland and needs salt. Fajitas tasted odd. I don’t think I would ever come back. The service was great, though.. If you are looking for authentic tacos, this isn’t it. The restaurant was clean and Kid, family friendly.

I think they have some of the best Mexican food in town. The service is always great and their el sol nachos are huge and only like $11. Their shredded beef is so good! Also their tamales are big and the sauce is delicious.

Not impressed but not completely disappointed. You only get one bowl of chips and salsa and for anymore than that there is an additional charge. The food was alright, again… not impressed by any means and it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had either. The service was decent too, no complaints there. The price really varied some things seemed like a good price while other things seemed extremely high. I don’t know if I would say I would recommend or not recommended going here because my experience was average.

Soon as we walked in the greeting was way off. Lady was super rude upon seating us. I asked her if she was like that to everyone or what the issue was. Stated she didn’t mean to be rude. After that very seldom did they ask if we needed anything as they passed right by our table. Would not recommend nor would I ever come back here. Lady with short hair needs manner training.

El Sol de Mexico is a just fine restaurant, in fact we were willing to come all the way down from Salem to visit this fine restaurant. We enjoy this restaurant as one of our favorites. For this reason we were rather saddened to find out that the restaurant is now Petty place. Yes I said Petty, meaning in every other restaurant of the Mexican variety they give you chips and salsa of plenty and they never say anything about this because it’s part of the Mexican hospitality included in your meal. But now is a part of the policies of El Sol de Mexico they even include right in their menu that the policy is that your first basket of chips is free and each additional basket is going to be $2.50. as if the restaurant is not making enough money that they needed to be so incredibly Petty as to charge $2.50. was there some sort of major run on people stealing free chips? Were people coming in and not ordering food and just eating free chips and salsa never ordering an entree? Makes me wonder how Petty or restaurant has to be to think that the free Mexican tortilla chips and salsa now need to be charged for? Reminds me of the way McDonald’s charges for extra condiments.. that’s the reason I don’t go to McDonald’s. So if you don’t like being treated Petty you probably won’t like this restaurant. And for any owners or managers reading this review I actually have a degree in hospitality and I would love to see you change this policy or respond to this. Because trying to steal from your customers a few extra dollars wherever you can get it isn’t good hospitality policy, and it isn’t good fiscal policy. It’s poor policy all around. I guarantee you’re going to lose a lot more customers then you’re going to gain with this and when you lose customers you’re going to lose revenue. You just may have lost us.
