Had some amazing venison chili here last night. We just stumbled along this place while doing a jeep tour and were we impressed. One of the best meals we’ve had in alaska. I highly recommend the barley cornbread, but look out as it’s sweet. Will definitely come back here.

Nothing is better after a long day in Denali to come here to enjoy a warm meal and cold beer. Very cozy atmosphere with nice servers! So nice to eat and then walk back to your room. Would highly recommend!

The half house salad and the beast burger sub with sweet potato fries were pretty good. There was only a small piece of walnut in the salad but it had a good feta ratio… the burger was a hearty portion.

Enjoyed great breakfast and dinner meals. The staff is attentive and friendly. For dinner I went with the Alaskan Salmon and wedge salad. Great experience overall.

Very nice menu, good service. The food is less than mediocre. Venison chili is watery and unflavorful, crab hush puppies are decent but only a few, salmon is dry potato burned and the corn is clearly frozen because it was cold. Toor a long time.
Everything was lukewarm except the prices. Glass of wine is $14 but doubt it was more then 3oz. I would absolutely not come back.

Alaskan salmon was great and the beer I chose was pretty good too (Alaskan white). Reminded me of a blue moon.
Topped it off with a nice apple crisp and ice cream combo 🙂

Being a vegetarian, the only dish I could have was vegan and it wasn’t even edible. My family enjoyed their non veg dishes though. We had the corn bread later and that was a saving grace for my appetite

Had the cheeseburger and brisket sandwich. Both were great! My wife said the burger was one of the best she’s had recently. Kettle chips were tasty. Server was friendly. Bonus, our dog joined us on the deck. We live in Anchorage and would eat here again on our way through.
