You should stop in. This is a solid 3.75 stars but I will round up because I believe in supporting small businesses every chance you can.
We came here for lunch on a Friday around 2 pm and it was no wait and plenty of parking in the gravel lot behind the restaurant. It is a quintessential small business restaurant and my wife loved the look of it.
The staff was a great lady she took our drinks and gave us time to look over the menu. The mixed drinks were just ok – a fun idea but they didn’t come across as particularly great to either of us. Not complaining l, we did finish them.
The cheese fries needed to be left in the fryer for at least 1-2 more minutes and the cheese on top was not melted. This is a super easy fix so I hope it was just a rush out of the staff and not the norm.
I had the burger, it was cooked fairly well a little over medium than I would have liked but still a solid grill. The taste was delicious and I really enjoyed it. The fries I got for the side were much better quality and cooked crispy.
My wife got the chicken wings. They were absolutely covered with sauce that overpowered. I think it would have been better with a rub instead of a liquid sauce for the wings.
It is definitely worth a visit and you can tel It’s a great local spot to eat. I do think we would come back and I think it would be a lot more fun to order the baked potatoes which seemed to be something they are famous for. All of the locals in the bar seem to be ordering them.

Went here for the first time. I haven’t found a good place to eat in Summerville until now. From the road this place looks like a house but the food is cooked like it was made from a loving home (hah, cheesy… Like their Philly).
Everything was great. The staff was refilling cups every few minutes and were very nice. The chicken fingers, Ribeye, Philly cheesesteak, and sweet potatoe fries were cooked fresh and delicious.
I don’t personally care for crinkle fries, however, they were nicely cooked. Also, the steak was over cooked but still very delicious and would still order it next time. Highly recommend.

Thank you for making our first visit such a pleasant experience.

People were friendly, we got food to go.
Saw a sign that said everything is prepared fresh. Our bacon was definitely not fresh and was precooked in the blt. The chicken salad is not the best- quite bland, but it filled our bellies.
Pickles and fries were the best part of our meal.

Really great food and great service. Everyone was friendly and nice. We got the trio sampler which was a meal in itself. I appreciate the generous portions. The barbecue baked potato was really good as well. I will be returning here to try more things.

We happened to find this little gem while staying in summerville. Let me tell you the food is amazing. We both had the ribeye, it was delicious. The fried mushrooms are to die for. And the strawberry cheese cake, Chef’s kiss. Our waiter was the best. I’m sorry I forgot your name. Nice young man & he said he has been there 9yrs next month. Congratulations on your graduation & your practice. Great experience! We will definitely be back. P.s. you must try the Maui Wowie!!

Very cool old school hundred year old building serving up made to order grub. The cheeseburger was perfectly cooked medium (as ordered) with all the fixings. Huge portions, so come hungry. Superior and friendly service. Highly recommend. They have cocktails, bottled beer and a few taps.

I ordered the BLT and fried mushrooms and it was perfect. Service was great. It’s in a really cool old building and I’m a sucker for that. I wish they had some like steamed broccoli or cauliflower on the menu just to have a couple more healthy choices.

They have a good variety of food and the prices are good. The service is iffy after you order. They never follow up to see how you are doing or to refill your beverages. After my latest experience, I would not recommend going there on a Friday or Saturday night without making a reservation. We arrived around 6 p.m. on a Friday and there were 3 groups ahead of us on the wait list. There was a table open the whole time we were there with a reserved sign on it. After about 30 minutes of waiting, we were next on the list and a party left. We thought we would be finally seated, but instead they reserved another table for a party that wasn’t there. We were told in the future we should make a reservation. They seem to prioritize making tables available for people who will eventually show up. We left after 40 minutes of waiting and seeing 2 open tables open. I would recommend going to Jim’s Restaurant instead. There food is similar and I have never had to wait to get a table. I liked going to the Willow Tree once in a while, but recently the long wait for a table when there tables open and the lack of communication has made it easier to choose other options.

Stopped by for late lunch and it was a great experience. Friendly and attentive service, big portions and excellent country style southern food in a rustic setting. Very much worth stopping by!
