For years we used to love ordering dinner from here, but the service and quality of food has since declined, at least it has with us. The last two times we’ve ordered, our order was wrong, and the quality of the food was poor. Our beef tenderloin kebabs, which are not cheap, were overcooked and tough, and our rice was missing the slivered almonds, which is an essential component of the meal. We will not be disappointed a third time as we will not be going back.

Had the opportunity to stop into Al Oumara Lebanese restaurant today for a photoshoot. Owner Nazir, assistant Mike, and their whole team were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made some excellent looking food! From fried whole fish to delicious oven-baked bread to many Middle Eastern dishes, I can see why they are rated so highly.
Got to simple the bread, hummus, and fattoush, and they were all delicious! If you are around West Bloomfield be sure to check them out!

This is the best place to eat authentic middle eastern food. The beef shawarma is super delicious with the right amount of meat, tahini sauce, and pickles. The owner with his staff is warm, welcoming you with a smile. He is generous at all levels; quantity of the food, quality of the food.

The food was very unappetizing and overall, I am highly dissatisfied and regretful from ordering from this restaurant. Here’s why:
1. The woman who I spoke with when I called to take my order sounded like it pained her to do so.
2. THEY PUT DRESSING ON THE SALAD FOR YOU. This really ruined it for me. I didn’t realize this until I went to eat my salad later and it was all wilted.
3. The chicken is unseasoned, dry, and tastes like tire rubber. You can tell from the huge overcooked chunk of chicken on the left in the picture.
4. The dressing is very subpar.
5. This place is an insult to Middle-Eastern culture and cuisine.

I’ve been getting takeout from Aloumara once a week for a few months now. Medium fattoush salad and chicken shawarma sandwich is my go to. Definitely ask for the dressing on the side because the portion is huge and I always have leftovers for the next day. Lettuce and dressing is always extremely fresh and whatever seasoning they put on top of the pita chips is so tasty!!
Everyone who works here is extremely nice and very efficient! I’ve never had to wait for my food when I call it in ahead of time.
Also two items for under $15, (plus a tip) in today’s economy!?!? That price can’t be beat for the speed of service, taste, quality and portion.

This place was recommended by a family member who lives in Michigan. I had a craving for hummus, and pita, and I just say, it was one of the best. Look forward to eating there the next time I’m in town.
