My family wanted to try a new Chinese Restaurant for dinner. When we first pulled up we thought we were in the wrong place because it is a gas station parking lot. Just as I was about to leave I saw Hunan King inside the gas station. I found this diamond in the rough. Dennis took our order and made sure he had it all correct before finalizing the bill. He also double checked the order before we left. He was very friendly and that’s always a huge plus when you go to a restaurant for the first time. They have a small seating area if you do want to dine in, but it is nothing fancy. We ordered for take out 3 entrees that all came with either fried rice or white rice. We also ordered, cheese puffs, egg rolls, dumplings, and a wanton soup. The food was prepared fresh and came out hot and ready to go. The portion size for the entree’s was huge. The General Tso’s chicken was very flavorful, sweet, and crispy and paired nicely with the white rice and fried rice. The beef and broccoli were cooked very well, beef tender and vegetables tasted perfect. The sides were a very good addition. The egg rolls were nice a crispy, hot and the pork was seasoned well. The dumplings and Cheese puff were also very tasty. Overall I would highly recommend ordering takeout from this restaurant. Don’t be scared to take a chance on them.

Can’t get enough! Found it through Uber Eats and it’s super close to home. Staff is always friendly and great with their recommendations. The menu options are small but I think it makes the quality of food great. We’ve been back several times and will continue. Finally tried their cheese puff and they were CHEFS KISS!

Listen… Hunan King did NOT come to play
The wings were so good I almost ordered another round before I even finished the first one. And the egg rolls?? Man listen… them things was BOMB crispy, hot, and gone in about 30 seconds.
On top of that the people working there are super cool and nice, the vibe is good, and they actually make you feel welcome when you walk in.
If you haven’t tried Hunan King yet you playing yourself. I’ll definitely be back… probably sooner than my wallet wants me to be

All the food was very delicious from the orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, chicken lo mein noodles, steaming white rice, cheese puffs, and veggie egg rolls! The service was great food was ready by a decent time, fresh & hot as well.

First tried Hunan King when they catered at Boone Elementary and I’ve been going there ever since. Fresh gourmet Chinese food that doesn’t disappoint. I personally love their chicken fried rice and pepper steak!

This place deserves a 5 star rating! My family and I wanted chinese food late and this place was the only think open. Everything was sooo delicious and perfect! We ordered curry chicken, general Tso’s, orange chicken, chicken lo mein, cheese puffs, vegetable egg rolls, and last but not lease dumplings. I have to give this young man credit for making so much in little time with it just being him there only! JUST, WOW! He was so nice too. I would definitely recommend!!!

First time eating at this restaurant. The guy that took our order has a great attitude and made helpful suggestions on the selection.
We ordered the orange chicken, general tsp’s chicken, chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, pork dumplings & egg rolls. Every single item was perfect! This does not feel or taste like the typical rubbery frozen chicken. All selections had a clean, fresh & very delicious taste.
This will definitely be a new favorite place to go to. Don’t hesitate to try them out.

Hunan King never disappoints. The food is always tasty, fresh, and generously portioned—you definitely get your money’s worth. The staff is consistently friendly, respectful, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I also love the added dessert options like the key lime pie and red velvet cake—they’re absolutely delicious and a perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend!

I can’t say I have ever seen a Chinese restaurant inside a gas station, the place was very minimalist- sign of amazing Chinese food if you know your stuff. It is my understanding that the place is still young I hope they expand the menu some day. For now the fried rice with chicken and shrimp delivered! Thanks Dennis for the ris on the place.
