This place was absolutely incredible! From the moment you walked in the door you knew it was going to be something special. It’s like a old rustic gift shop that has breakfast. Pretty much everything on the walls is for sale. In the parking lot it looked very busy so I figured we’d have to wait awhile but we got immediate seating. The service was top notch, the host and the waiter worked together to get us rolling. It didn’t take long to get out food after we ordered, and everything came out looking amazing. We all got different stuff and the flavors were top notch, you couldn’t ask for any better pairings. I had the biscuits and gravy and it came with eggs on top. The only knock I could give this was put the gravy on top before putting the egg on. I guess I like my biscuits nice and soggy right away. I think the prices were extremely fair for the quality of food you get. I would absolutely recommend this place to any and everyone. I can’t wait to get back and try it out again.

Great location with so many delicious choices! Is an annual tradition for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids. They do not split checks and are very serious about this but outside of that, they are very friendly and timely

Village Cafe had a beautiful ambience, clean café, friendly employees, and quick service. It was a pleasant experience, the space was welcoming creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee. My only issue as a pancake snob, was the texture of the pancakes served. They were thin and had a carpe feel to them, not horrible, just not my thing. I would definitely visit again in the near future.

I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast when on the peninsula. The food was good and they offer many options. The service was decent. The atmosphere did it for me as the sunroom setting was very intriguing. The only complaint I had were the flies buzzing around. Overall, I would stop here for an aesthetically pleasing, cost effective, and filling meal!

Not impressed. Food was not anything great. Eggs Benny was okay. Hollandaise did not have much flavor and English muffin was barely cooked. Pancakes were good just normal pancakes. We also got a latte which I have had better. Nothing we ate I would suggest to others. Service was good and so was the atmosphere. Just not impressed with the food so probably will not go back again.

We had our dogs with us so we didn’t go inside, but the back patio was breezy, shaded, and lovely. We had EXCELLENT service and many of the friendly staff came to say hello to our dogs. They brought water out to the dogs quickly. Our food was delicious and we were very happy with our visit. This was the friendliest restaurant, both to us and to our dogs, that we visited during our 5 day stay in Door County, and we almost didn’t stop because we didn’t immediately see the outdoor seating area. Very glad we did!

My husband and I had breakfast. I ordered the meat lovers potato bowl which had quarter inch of grease covering the bottom of the bowl and it made the entire meal inedible. My bill was comped for half the price of the meal which I guess was nice but considering I couldn’t eat it I was a bit taken back I had to pay for any of it at all. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy which he said was alright, but shortly after we left it wasn’t long before he had to find a bathroom and our day trip around Door County consisted of staying near restrooms. Our waiter was very kind and attentive, the restaurant was clean but the meals were overpriced and unfortunately we wouldn’t recommend it and won’t be back.

Woww. This is THE breakfast spot in Door County. So cozy. So delicious.

Food: big portions. Super flavorful. Something for everyone. I got one of their breakfast bowls for potatoes. The coffee cake was also fire to share with the table.

Venue: beyond cozy and cute. Super colorful and spacious. Kid friendly.

Service: really attentive. I’m assuming J1 workers..so it’s cool to get some cross cultural experiences!
