My son ordered flautas and they looked SO good!
The staff was very pleasant. They bring your meals out to you. I went back after eating and stood in another line(!) for tortillas and chips to take home. I understand the lines – they have fridges along the wall full of all kids of great foods and sauces to take home!
The restaurant was VERY clean and the noise level low. I can’t wait to come back for flautas.
Overall we would go back to try other things on the menu.
It seems that accountability lacks due to the leadership based off the response from this review along with other reviews.
Please do not LIE and say I asked for more hominy to save face for your employees and your business. Now I understand that I was lied to and conned into paying for something I did not ask for.
We have always ordered just “Menudo” and never had to clarify before unless I specified I only wanted hominy.
When I called, I advised it did not have hominy. Your staff told me to go back for the hominy that would have been in the order, free of charge, because it was an error. I went back to get the hominy THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN with the order. I NEVER asked for more hominy, only what was supposed to be in the regular menudo order. I was given whatever amount was provided and was told the restaurant changed their mind and I had to pay. Again, I did not ask for more of anything. I appreciate the allegation, especially written, because it again paints a narrative of how you and your employees view your customers.
About the allegation of “stealing” a drink. When customers put items clearly visible in front of a cashier and the cashier does not enter in all the items, that’s an issue with your employee. Again, my ASSUMPTION was that you hired employees who knew how to do their job because I trusted they would have checked out everything. Please check the camera. Obviously, I was wrong with trusting your employee and not verifying the receipt and I’m ok with admitting to that. It’s one thing to make a mistake by not charging for all the items in front of you, but another when you cannot accept your own mistake and in return embarrass a whole family due to incompetence with handling a situation like that properly.
Please do better and be an example. Take accountability for your staff, you hired them.

I’m really disappointed to have to do this. This place has been my go-to spot for menudo on the weekends and I’ve been coming for a couple of years.
There were 2 instances back to back these last times I visited.
Today, I ordered a menudo to-go like I’ve done so many times before. Usually, it comes with the broth, meat, & hominy. When I brought my menudo home, it didn’t have hominy so I called and asked about it. They informed me it was an error and I could pick up the hominy that would have came with it without an additional charge. When I went to pick it up, they changed their mind and charged me and told me I should have asked for hominy when I made my order. I was confused and asked what came with the menudo because I’ve ordered take out & dine in and never had to specify before. They shrugged off my concern and told me I had to pay extra. I don’t mind paying for my food but it was truly a horrible experience given this has never happened here before.
The time before today, they accused my family and I of stealing a drink when we dined in. When we ordered at the cashier desk, I placed 2 bottled drinks on the counter. I assumed they added both of the drinks on the tab. We are there for maybe 30-45 minutes and not one time did anyone mention any kind of miscommunication regarding the drink. When we tried to leave, we got tracked down and embarrassed in front of everyone there alleging we stole the drink. Unfortunately, I threw the receipt away when we were done eating so I had no proof but we paid for it anyways in case it wasn’t put on the tab. The situation could have been handled with more professionalism while we were eating privately instead of publicly while we were leaving.
All in all, the flavor of the menudo is good (and was my favorite) but customer service has been horrible and I’ve been deeply disappointed and publicly embarrassed twice. I will say the gentlemen that help in front are always kind and respectful.
I don’t care for the tacos which is why I gave the food 3 stars. Not very flavorful and the meats are dry.
I truly recommend this place.
