Authentic Asian Food. Chef himself is very nice approachable person who took his time to talk to us.
Staff is very welcoming and active.
Food is Authentic and well made.
Menu is well designed with ingredients and pricing without clutter or unnecessary readings.
This place is one of my rare findings. That also by chance.
10/10 will visit again when im in cairo
Kamala has a nice ambiance and friendly, professional staff who create a welcoming dining experience. The setting feels refined and relaxing, consistent with Sofitel’s standard.
However, the food did not quite meet expectations. While presentation was good, the flavors were average and did not justify the high prices. For the cost, I expected more distinctive taste and quality.
Overall, it’s a pleasant place to dine, but the menu needs improvement to match the restaurant’s elegant atmosphere and pricing.
The service was outstanding—attentive without being intrusive. Every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and guided us through the menu with excellent recommendations.
Now, the food: absolutely exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic Asian flavors, prepared with the kind of precision and artistry you’d expect from a world-class restaurant. From the fresh sushi to the perfectly spiced curries, every bite was a reminder of the chef’s talent and passion.
Dining at Kamala wasn’t just a meal—it was a journey through flavor, ambiance, and hospitality. Without question, it’s one of the best restaurants in Egypt and a must-visit if you’re staying at the Sofitel or anywhere nearby.
