1st time visit on Friday January 30 @ 1530.
Family of 4 for Dine-in. We were greeted immediately. Very friendly service and was informed about joining rewards program to get an 15% discount. All areas of the restaurant were clean and organized. The food comes out super fast.
We ordered:
Old school Sandwich – 10/10
* chops are amazing
Hawaiin Bowl – 8/10
* needed more vegetables and more sauce
Pork Plate Lunch – 10/10
* i ordered side of hot sauce and that really made it.
Kalua Pig Nachos – 3/10
* missed opportunity with chips.
Needs more cheese. Maybe use wonton or even seasoned pork rinds. The round tostitos were dissapointing
Dole Whip – 10/10
* refreshing
Sneakers Shake – 10/10
* tastes just like a Snickers.
Ill be back to try the breakfast!

Great tender pork on soft delicious bread. Price was a little high, $18 for the sandwich and $5 for the strawberry lemonade, but I guess these are 2025 prices. Going to have to come back for a bowl.

Kono’s Northshore is incredible. This is my fourth Kono’s to visit. The atmosphere is great, staff is incredible, and the food, the food broke the mouth! I’m lucky for my favorite Oahu meal, the Old School and a Dole Whip, to be down the road!

How can you not enjoy a place where you are greeted at the door with a cheerful “aloha” , the smell of pulled pork and fresh tropical fruits, surf videos and vibrant color?! My first visit and it won’t be my last. The portions are very generous so don’t let the price of a sandwich scare you. Easily makes two meals! We had two in our party and tried the “old school” sandwich, a Hawaiian bowl and two milkshakes, the Lava Flow and Kono’s Mud Pie. Everything tasted just great and I’m looking forward to finishing the second half of mine for dinner as well as another visit to try other menu items! Aloha and mahalo Kono’s North shore!

I got the Triple Threat sandwich and it was probably a pound of meat, cheese, and love. FANTASTIC sandwich. I also tried the Kono’s mud pie milkshake and it was fantastic. I can not wait to come back and try more of the menu.

LOVE Kono’s! It’s one of must-eat places on Oahu, so I was thrilled to see them open a location in Houston! Tried it today and it tastes exactly the same. The pork is juicy, tender, and flavorful. Fantastic tacos, plates, and “bombers” (burritos). Also enjoy the milkshakes. The service was great – so friendly! Will be back soon! Can’t recommend it enough.

WHAT A FUN FIND!!! First of all, the ladies I met here, clearly a couple sweet ladies doing managerial work at a table and a very friendly, sweet, efficient and helpful employee serving us – were soooooooo welcoming, kind, helpful & joyful!
The lady that took our order let us know all the specials available Monday – Friday (they have a super convenient special menu they will give you to keep if you’re a fridge or “menu drawer” person for go-to takeout.
See the photos for the extensive menu! We went for the Thursday special which was awesome! On Thursday they offer BOGO on their bowls. We went for that and boy are we glad we did! It comes with their signature slow roasted (12 hours) pulled pork, a unique cabbage slaw, and perfectly sticky steamed rice and a side of their scrumptious BBQ sauce. The pulled pork!!!! Sooooooooo good! The slaw was the perfect crunch to give texture to a great bowl! It was a perfect amount of food. Both of us took half home with us for later! All for under $15 before tip! You cannot beat that!
But wait! There’s more! When we were finished with our food and were getting ready to leave – she brought up a generous sample of a fresh smoothie she had just made – fresh strawberries, fresh lemon to name a few of the flavors – soooooo good! The perfect finish to a great lunch!
We can’t wait to be over on this side of town again to try more options!

We came for breakfast and it was amazing! I got the biscuits and the guava juice. The sausage is delicious and anything pork I’ve tried is sooo good. Highly recommend adding pineapple sauce to your food. Sharing a picture of my meal. Recommended.
Also got a mug cause it was super cute.

We love pulled pork sandwiches and someone had told us we had to try Kona Northshore and IT DID NOT disappoint! Better than any pulled pork we’ve found at a restaurant because Kona’s pork is so so so very juicy! I got the sliders on the Hawaiian-style rolls (think Kings Hawaiian rolls) and my hubby got the Old Timer, the same thing but on a different larger bun. Both had a super yummy coleslaw on them and were heaped with pork. When I tell you we are going back, it’s not out of convenience because we live in The Woodlands but because it was SO dang tasty!!! Might be considered a wee bit pricey but it was a lot of food! They have a bunch of other things on the menu too, including bbq chicken and salads, maybe we’ll try next time. Or maybe we’ll just have to get another juicy pork sandwich! I can only imagine it being better if we were eating it on a beach in Hawaii! Lol

Absolutely delicious! Went in to split a classic Hawaiian Bowl with my husband. We gobbled it down in no time. So, I ordered a 2nd one. We ate that one too. The portions are generous. Normally, splitting a bowl would have been plenty but it had been so long since we’ve had classic Kaula Pork we couldn’t resist stuffing ourselves. We will definitely be stopping by for more whenever we are in the area.
