$12 for half a roasted duck, this is a price that you can’t find anywhere else in Chicagoland. The meat and flavors are unbeatable too. A must visit every trip to Chinatown. But be warned, this is a Chinatown old school venue, small, dim and …. use ur imaginations :-p

Best place in Chinatown to get Char siu (BBQ Pork). The meat is always tender and not too fatty.

I swung by their spot at 2422 S Wentworth Ave and copped half a roast duck for just $12—can’t beat that deal anywhere else around here. The duck was fire: crispy skin, juicy meat, seasoned just right. Also grabbed some char siu pork, and let me tell ya, it was melt-in-your-mouth tender with that sweet, smoky kick. Dropped about $25 total and left stuffed. Heads up, it’s cash only and they close early when they sell out, so plan accordingly.

Tai Ho Yee Food Co in Chinatown is . I spent about $30 on a half-roast duck and a pound of their famous char siu pork. Duck skin was tender and juicy, and that pork? Sweet, smoky, melt-in-your-mouth, straight-up the best char siu in town. It’s cash-only & they close early, so roll through before 2PM. No frills, just killer BBQ.

Was an interesting little place, wasn’t sure if I even walked into the right door. Lady barely spoke English but was real friendly! Duck was really good!

Can’t complain much about ~$10 for a pound of pretty solid honey BBQ pork. They are cash only so make sure to bring some.

Don’t worry about getting lost in here, you’ll just get lost no matter what. But remember, you’re here for the BBQ, and that BBQ may just be the best you’ve ever had. Remember to say “mmm goy” to thank them in Cantonese!

This is THE place to go in Chinatown for Chinese BBQ!! This is the place where TONS of other Chinese restaurants go to get their BBQ wholesale (I’ve worked in several Chinese restaurants), so expect them to run out of stuff fast!

Be forewarned: this is a take-out only hole-in-the-wall, most likely cash-only.
